If you send them a certified letter stating that they are never to call you a***n they should stop.  Make sure you send it certified.  Even if this is your own debt you can make a formal request to stop calling you and to send correspondences through the mail.  This will not stop them from taking you to court to collect on the debt, but it should stop them from calling your house a number of times per day. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdfYou do have rights under the Fair Debt Collection laws.  § 806. Acquisition of location informationAny debt collector communicating with any person other than the consumer for the purpose of acquiring location information about the consumer shall—(1) identify himself, state that he is confirming or correcting location information concerning the consumer, and, only if expressly requested, identify his employer;(2) not state that such consumer owes any debt;(3) not communicate with any such person more than once unless requested to do so by such person or unless the debt collector reasonably believes that the earlier response of such person is erroneous or incomplete and that such person now has correct or complete location information;(4) not communicate by post card;(5) not use any language or symbol on any envelope or in the contents of any communication effected by the mails or telegram that indicates that the debt collector is in the debt collection business or that the communication relates to the collection of a debt; and(6) after the debt collector knows the consumer is represented by an attorney with regard to the subject debt and has knowledge of, or can readily ascertain, such attorney’s name and address, not communicate with any person other than that attorney, unless the attorney fails to respond within a reasonable period of time to the communication from the debt collector.

They have been calling us for over a year for Kelly J. Hill.  I don't know this person and have told this company at least 50 times to stop calling our number because the person they are looking for doesn't live here and we don't know them.  They keep saying they will remove our number but so far it hasn't happened.  They call at least twice a day.  Caller ID shows up as (.) 253-269-0434 and they leave a call back number of 1-800-824-6191.  Now when they call, I call them back and put the phone next to The Banana Phone Song playing VERY loudly and walk away.  Idiots!

I get a call from this number 2 & 3 times a day if you call back it costs them money for their 800 line so I say just them back and rack up their charges!!!

I have been getting calls also. No message. When I call the number back it says enter my pass code.

yeah.... collection agency. same number , wont remove my number from list, so I guess it will rack up more min. on my cell bill!

I got a call from them today.  I called their number out of curiosity and they are a collection agency, looking for someone who has never lived here.  Said they would remove my number.  Not holding my breath.

I got 2 calls from them today. It says it's Auburn, which is weird. I'm pretty positve that it's a collection agency.
