Yes, it's Verizon. They use this "local" number to appear more like a personal call rather than an 800 number which is official and usually signifies a collection call. :) We're onto them now!

This is Verizon Wireless.  I got a call with no message then another call 7 minutes later and they left an automated voice message to call about my account.

Appears to be Verizon Wireless.

Been getting calls from this number constantly and no message is ever left.
