I got a c****e on my account.

I made an online purchase from a reputable company using my credit card and in addition to the purchase from the company there was also a $7.50 USD charge at the same time from [email protected] 256-4434307. What's interesting to note is that I live in Ca***a.

Update:My bank is still trying to figure out who this c**** is.  I will post what they find out when they let me know.

I went to talk to my bank, and they said they will contact me by Wednesday to let me know what this is about.  I will post here when I find out.

OK, I've been doing a little digging and have come up with the following information.Stephen MurphyAge: 58Address: 6195 County Rd #15         Florence, AL 35633County: LauderdaleAverage Income: 39,401Average Home Value: 89,300Cell Phone Carrier: Cellco PartnershipI will make some phone calls today and attempt to figure out the source and reason for the charges.  Right now I am opening an unofficial fraud investigation.  If I determine that the charge was unauthorized I will pull a case number and open up a full fraud investigation.  I will also notify the Secret Service as Credit Card Fraud across state lines is of high interest to both FBI and SS.  I will also notify Lauderdale county Sheriffs Dept and Florence Police Department if reason for detention or arrest arises.Please leave a post with a way that I can contact anybody who may be a victim or witness to these transactions.  I can also give anybody my department number so you can reach me at work and you can feel at ease by contacting a police department instead of a private number.Thank you in advance for any and all cooperation.

No call, just a $7.50 CC charge from [email protected].

I got a $7.50 charge on my account I didn't recognize. This number, 256-443-4307 and the e-mail address [email protected] are the only trail left to trace it with. I called the number and no one answered, the default message came on saying the mailbox was to full to leave a message. I think somehow my card number got scammed and this number and e-mail were a front used to setup the merchant account that accepts the payment.
