Received two calls today.  not returning the call or picking it up.  irritating.  i'll have to put my number on a do not call list.  though i already had.

The women that is calling from this number is an indepedent sales rep for various newspapers across the US. She makes money if you subscribe through her. Just a cheap way to help the papers with their marketing efforts.

Have been getting calls twice a day to my cell phone from this number. I usually do not pick up but I picked it up today and the call immediately disconnected.

New York here and they are calling me constantly on my cell phone.

Whois this person?  No message.  Very annoying.  Am on do not call list!!!

Caller ID showed the Heffner name ... but they left no message..so i googled the phone number and up popped this ARE YOU GETTING A CALL FROM THIS 269-NUMBER? website.. I PUT in this phone number and this post..Don't know why this person would be calling a Houston TX area code ...unless 713 is close to another area code up in southwestern part of Michigan ...weird.!

Hello,I too, have received a call from 269-464-7*** and connected to a busy signal when I called back. Reading the above posts,  I have also been receiveing 2 and 3 calls daily from the local newspaper, had to looked up the number. Funny how they do not leave a message nor answer when we call.The do not call list is not working :-(

I got a call from this number today...no idea why.  I'm in Montana.  What's odd is that I've been getting unidentified calls once a day every day this week, each from a different state (TX, CA, OK).  They never leave a message.What's the deal!?!

I had this on my caller ID when I got home, decided to pick up to see what was up when they called the next time.  It was "Pam" from the Anchorage Daily News (with a Michigan area code????) making a courtesy call to verify that my paper subscription had s****ed.  Very interesting, because I did NOT subscribe to the paper, but I had found a paper on my porch that very morning.  I don't have any reason to suppose that she wasn't genuine, other than the strange number.  It seems to me that it was the little paper salesperson who was dishonest and signed me up without my consent to get a commission.  Last time I DID subscribe I got the same kind of courtesy call.  A little fishy, but not seemingly an issued with "Pam" Heffner, unless she's connected to the unexpected paper on my doorstep in some dishonest way....

I also had this on my ID when I got home.  I decided to pick it up when it rang the next time.  It was a lady from the local paper (Anchorage Daily News) calling to verify that my paper subscription had s****ed.  I never ordered the subscription, but it is true that that morning a paper was on my doorstep unexpectedly!  One of their little salespeople that comes door to door must've written me down as a new subscription, and she called to verify it.  SHE could be authentic -- last time I subscribed I got the same kind of courtesy call, but it was genuine because I HAD subscribed.  Regardless, w***ver she is (and why should she call me in Alaska from that area code....), she knew that someone had dropped a paper on my doorstep that morning.  Interesting....

Received a call from this number as well - 269-468-7***; caller id  listed as Heffner, P S - 4/2/08 @ 1058h Pacific Daylight Time. Did not answer. No idea who they are.

We, my late husband and I, do not know anyone in Michigan. Maybe it was a reporter.

Called and left no message.

No message, called the number back and a female voice gave a recorded message saying she was calling from the newspaper and wanted to see if I wanted to renew my subscription.

Called couple of times, left no message. Redailed the number, heard message stating she(it was a female voice)was calling in behalf of the local newspaper
