Typical call "press 1 for more info, press 2 to be removed from the list." Apparently this is a loophole in the federal do not call law. I pressed 1 and asked the individual what company this was - she said "Alarm Services." I asked for their number so I could report them to the FTC for violating the Do Not Call Registry. She thanked me quickly and ***g up.

If I were a burglar I would do exactly this and then I'd go to all the houses where they said "yes please" and rob them ****** blind, secure in the knowledge that they had no alarm system. I'm wondering if I should call the cops as it is... give them this number and say "I got a call saying they're gonna be in the neighborhood. If there are breaking and entering crimes in our area, these are probably our guys..."

I returned the phone call (after listening to the recorded message) and asked to be put on the do not call list.  That was fine except that two months later the calls s****ed up a***n.  This is a scam

Called my cell phone a few minutes ago and left 4 blank voice mails and showed 3 missed calls from the same number. Didn't call back the number. Please don't call peoples cell phones like this and use their minutes for junk calls.

Why do they use my minutes this is a robo call, when called back got if you would like to be removed press 1........I hate robo calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 6 calls all in a row.  As soon as I answered one I was being buzzed in by another over and over and over a***n.  When I called back to see what was going on I got the "press 1 to block this number" ****.  Why would they ever think that someone in Houston Texas would want anything they have?  I hate inconsiderate businesses!

Illegal ADT Robo-call offering a "free" alarm system. I wanted to know who it was - since soliciting calls to a cell phone are illegal, so I pressed  "1" to say I was interested.  It said thank you & ***g up. I tried calling back, but it only offered a choice to be placed on a do-not-call list.  However, later in the day - I got the live follow-up call from ADT... so that's who is behind it.

This is a telemarketing firm offering "free alarm systems" in my neighborhood.  The automated recording instructs you to press 1 to get a free alarm system installed in your home.  Caller ID lists "Protection Ctr."

"This next week we will be in your neighborhood installing free alarm systems.  If you would like to receive a free alarm system press 1 now."  Automated call from Kalamazoo, MI.
