American direct call today in the past 3 hrs. six (6) times.  I asked them to stop it and they keep calling.  The sell jwelery

I have done this before with telemarketers... when they s**** their s***ch, I ask then to hold for a minute. I then state out loud "did you hide the body?" I wait a couple of seconds like I am waiting for a reply and then state "I have my alibi, I am on the phone with (name of soliting company) American Direct." the caller, this last time named Cindy, gasped and ***g up. so far this has worked every time.

I normally do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, but I did this time.  Before she could get into her sales pitch, I asked whether her company knew about the federal no-call list or do they simply choose to ignore it.  She said she was not familiar with the fed list. I told her I intend to report her company to the federal list and to my state no-call list as well.  She apologized and ***g up.  Area Code 280 is in Kentucky.

Fortunately, their computer doesn't press 4, so they don't ring through.

Called right during dinner.  Said that American Direct was cele***ting its 2-year anniversary and they wanted to enter me into a contest.  They also claimed they weren't selling anything.  All they needed was my name and address.  I said I wasn't interested and ***g up.  Then I found this site, and the links for the FCC and filed my complaint!  Yee-haw for grassroots complaints!

The lady who called me said that they were allowed to call the do not call list because they are not selling anything - only offering to enter us in a contest and send a catalog.  I asked to be removed (which seemed to confused her) and then promptly reported them on the fcc site.

RIght in middle of dinner with family we were graced with a call from American Direct.  They were willing to stay on the line for a full 15 minutes while they told me about their factory direct warehouse with only American products.  The nice phone worker was undeterred when I mentioned I do not buy anything American.  She also was very helpful as I asked about any American **** they sell and all the different varieties of **** they produce in America.I filed an FTC complaint http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html

I am on the Do Not Call list and get calls from 270-753-9024, caller ID American Direct often - they **** up if I answer. SERIOUSLY ANNOYING!!!!!!

# number was on my caller id. no message was left. found out it was a company in KY called "American Direct" I'm on the "Do Not Call List" and I'm fed up with companies that use this loophole to annoy people. I refuse to ever do business with companies that use telemarketing.

On 4/24 my 6 year old daughter answered a phone call from this outfit and they ***g up on her.

Some lady from this phone number called my house today.  The only thing she said was, "Is your parents home?"  (Yes, she used improper English too)... no*****o or anything.  When I told her I think she had the wrong number, she promptly ***g up without an apology.  Sounds fishy if you ask me... like a conartist trying to fish for home with no adults home.

Received a call from 1-270-753-9024.I googled it and it came up as American Direct.I am on the "Do Not Call List".Do they realize that they make people mad with their loop hole tactics and I would never do business with a company such as this.

Just received a call from 1-270-753-9024 it shows up on caller ID as American Direct.  I am on the supposed "DO NOT CALL" list but it seems that since I signed up for the "DO NOT CALL" list that more of these slimy telemarketing weasels have been calling me and saying that it doesn't apply to them.  My question was then who does it apply to then?They ***g up.  Later in the day they tried to call a***n, left no message but showed up on the caller ID as American Direct.  How does a standard citizen get this problem to stop without expensive legal action?

this company is called american direct.  they are a factory direct furniture company with a catalog and showrooms in cinci and colubus OH and austin TX.  They call to invite you to the showroom and send a catalog.  ask them to remove you from their calling list.  they are very nice about it.  also, if you are on the ' national do not call list' file a complaint.

Called for second time today:  over the weekend when I answered and asked who it was and that I was on the do not call list, the lady got snippy with me and said so****ing to the effect of "they don't pay any attention to that".  I said they were breaking the law and I didn't want them to call a***n, to which she said "we'll call w***ver we f**xing feel like calling" and ***g up.

Got a call from American Direct 270-753-9024.  Offering a "key".  Stopped them before they got any further and advised them that I am on the National Do Not Call list.  They said they "don't have to comply with that since they are not offering to sell you anything" only offering to send you materials in the mail.  Ya, right.  Spoke to a Manager, Keith Brown.  To him to remove my number from his list and that I was complaining to FTC about them.  He said that they were using a "loop hole" in the law.  Clever.

I told them last month that I'm on the 'do not call' list and also reported them to the FTC. They just called a***n. I don't think they care if they are reported.I called back and asked for a manager. "Ray" was very nice, took my number and said it wouldn't happen a***n. I asked if he has ever been contacted by the FTC and he said no. I said the FTC should be contacting him soon. I said he should google their number to see how many complaints there are.

Got a call this morning at 9:00 a.m. Checked *69 and found that I had rec'd a call from this number. Since I didn't recognize it I googled it and got  his site. They did not leave a voice mail. We are on the do not call list! I never answer my land line any more. I just *69 and if it is a number I recognize I call them back. My family calls me on my cell. We just got so sick of telemarketers calling! Now, even on the do not call list we still get these calls!

I received the same "American Direct" at 270-753-9024 on my caller ID.  The woman calling apologized that she had the wrong number and ***g-up.

Advised caller that this was fourth time they have called and that I was on National do not call list.  Said I would report them at this time.  They said they would remove me from their call list.

Called from 270-753-9024 with Caller ID only showing "Murray, KY".  Reported to be American Direct calling to mail materials for a "Ford truck giveway contest."  Will ask your name and address to mail materials.

I got a call today from American Direct, 270-753-9024.  Left no message.  I looked it up on Google and found this site, so I'm reporting it.
