picked up and no reply; not in my area

Only rang twice on my cell phone and they ***g up. I wasn't going to answer it anyhow once I seen it was long distance & the number was not one I recognized. I have gotten a spam call from this area code about 6 months and a couple many months before. Why are so many ****-ups being reported on this number? What is the reason or the scam or the spam???

Called my cell phone and did not leave a VM. I do not live anywhere near the Houston area.

Called, I didn't answer, they left no message. This is at least the third time they've called me.
