Leave a Commentits a collect agency out of houston. i believe.
FMA Alliance is the caller and they are aggravating. Called and spoke w/Pam and had her remove my number from their database since I have no idea who they are. Unfortunately the person who had my # before must not pay their bills.
These people call about 4x a day for the last 3 months. I have asked them to remove my name from their list at least 6 times and still they call!! I can't even*****ounce the name of the person they are looking for, it certainly is not me or my husband!
They call from this number constantly, but we never answer calls from numbers we don't know. They called repeatedly without leaving a message. Finally, we answered and they refused to give me any information until I verified my social, date of birth, name and spouse name. I ***g up and they called back twice in a row after that. SCAM!!!!
"ITS NOT A SCAM IF YOU KNOW THE LAWS THERE ARE GUIDELINES WHICH NEED TO BE FOLLOWED BEFORE ANYONES INFORMATION IS GIVING OUT..... HOW ABOUT LEARN THE FACTS FIRST AND HALF OF THE TIME ITS THE CORRECT PERSON JUST PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE."You sound like one of those incompetent service reps, especially with the bad grammar and spelling. Anyway, I do know the laws but it sounds like you don't. You're correct that there are guidelines (and federal laws) restricting how much personal information is "GIVING" (you probably meant "given") out on these calls. For this reason, if they call and ask for someone, and if I tell them I am not the person they are trying to reach and that they have the wrong number, then they have to stop calling me. Otherwise they are continuing to share someone else's protected and private financial information with me. Just the fact that a person has a debt with a particular company is legally protected private information. It doesn't matter if the customer service rep thinks you are lying about your iden***y. In addition, if you are in fact the person they are trying to reach, you can notify them in writing that you want them to stop calling you. It's best to send a notarized letter via certified mail that requires a signature. This is especially true if you have gotten a lawyer to handle any disputes you have regarding the alleged debt. If you do have a lawyer, get the lawyer to write a letter to the collection agency stating that any future communication with their client (you) should be directed to your lawyer. They have to comply with this. If they do not, there are state and federal penalties and fines for this. Collection agencies are contracted by the original company that you allegedly owe money to. Sometimes they're actually part of the original company but they use a different name. If they're a contracted company, the collection agency usually only gets paid (or at least they get paid more) if they get some money from you. They always have the right to report your debt to the three credit bureaus, but they don't get paid for this.
This number calls my phone daily, they are even harassing my neighbors, and where they got their name from gets me. I don't know who they are or why they would be calling me.
This company calls me 2-3,sometimes more a day. I have told them on more then one occassion that the party they are looking for is not at this number. They continue to call. The fact that they have called me from several different phone numbers becomes harrassment in the state of Texas. I will take action if this does not cease.
Mines is a lady also. she said her name was erika..
From some SM or FM airlines for a special message???
I was getting a ton of calls from this number at my work. I finally decided to call them back to see who they were trying to reach. After finding out it was an ex-employee, I told them as much and they stopped calling. The calls were annoying, every day, sometimes twice, but honestly, one truthful call stopped them.
I don't seem to have a problem with these calls. I called them back from the lady that left a message for my name. It is for our hospital bill from May '09.

Calls daily - 281-670-1540 asking for the adult consumer of the household.
I got a call from this 281-670-1540 this morning. It is a Houston,TX number - local to me. I called them to get them to quit. They're FMA Alliance, a debt collector. They are trying to contact the guy who had the phone number before me. I've had my number for THREE YEARS. The lady who answered just absolutely had to get her questions answered her way - was I ____ or do I know ____? The answer to both is "no", and she said she would remove the number from their call list. Gee, I hope so, but it usually takes at least three attempts to get them to quit.

I've been getting these calls about once a day every day for the past week or so. They sometimes leave a message, sometimes not. I wouldn't mind except I have a prepaid cell phone plan so I waste minutes deleting their messages so they don't fill up my voicemail box. It's mildly frustrating at this point but I'm not going to let it make me mad (that's what they want). They're just iden***y thieves masquerading as a collections agency. A legitimate collection agency wouldn't conduct their business this way. If they don't tell you at least whom they're collecting for, that's a big red flag right there.
Left message 2/14 at 7:54PM "for adult consumer of household if you continue to listen you agree you are the adult of the house. You will hear the msg after a brief 3 second pause...This is SMA Alliance and this is an attempt to collect a debt, etc.
They call always. Sometimes leave a rare vmail wanting to speak to the 'head of the house hold'.If they call a***n I will turn 2816071540 over to Tx att. gen. and more.Caller ID: Private

I have repeatedly told this company, I believe to be FMA , that my son is not here and this is not his number. I tell them this when I talk to a person and apparently they do not listen. They pretty much call every day several times. I told them that my son is not staying here at the moment and that my address is given because he does get his mail here. They continue to call by a recording, asking if this is the adult homeowner or if this is John press one, two if time is needeed to call him to the phone and 3 if this is not John. I am so sick of these calls. If they want to send him mail I will give it to him when I see or talk to him. No matter what you tell these people the do not give up. I have records showing times they call.
Called twice, said her name was Genieve, but wouldn't tell me anything else until i confirmed my SS#...
They call 2-3 times a day, never leave a message. I answered on 2 different occasions, but all they would say is I owed $500+ dollars, but wouldn't tell me what the bill was for. Just said I needed to pay it, right then, no questions asked. I pay my bills, ALL OF THEM, so I was concerned about why they felt I owed so much money, but a***n... they wouldn't/couldn't give me any additional info. I ***g up on them both times and refuse to answer anymore of their calls.I thought/think it's a scam.
Lady calls and says it is urgent to return her phone call but never identifies herself or indicates why she is calling.
I get a call from this number almost everyday. I am not sure who it is they will not leave a message.
It is a bill collector - mine is a woman that calls. But she won't leave a message or what company she is calling from so i don't take the call.
Calling about Medical Bills, but very rude.
Calls everyday
I believe this is the company calling. It's collection company that handles several types of collections, mostly medical bills.
