My 89 yr old mother-in-law received a call from the # 281-872-0755 on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 8:58pm. (The caller ID recorded the name as TSSLLC.) The caller said she was from GUIDEPOST Magazines and that they were no longer sending out renewal notices. She was told that her subscription was up for renewal. The subscription had increased, but she could receive a Senior discount on a 2 year subscription. They offered to renew another Guideposts publication--Angels on earth. They could do this on the phone--she just needed to give them a credit card! Her Guideposts subscription had been paid till Dec.'12, so she called Guideposts on Monday morning. They told her that the subscription price had not increased, that they do not solict renewals on the phone and that she should call her credit card company! She did.
I have a no call phone number and someone from this number keeps calling me then ****ing up or just says nothing until I **** up. I have stopped answering the phone when I see this number on my caller ID. It says unknown caller..................duh!!!!!
Some young woman called from this number to my 98-year old mother in North Dakota on the pretext of selling a subscription to Newsweek magazine. The caller got my mother to give out her bank account information and Social Security Number, even though my mother questioned the need for this information. When my brother, who lives nearby, found out, he immediately took our mother to her bank so that she could close out the compromised account and open a new one. Scam artists like this need to be put out of business and placed behind bars.
ID said TEXAS CALL, don't know who or what the call is about.Did not answer it.
***g up when I said that the person they asked to talk with was with clients. Tried to ask them to take us off the call list only to have the women **** up on me. I called back and they ***g up a***n when I explained what had happened.
They keep calling and ****ing up!!!This needs to STOP!!!!
These people call my house every night between 6 and 8 pm and ask for my husband. When I ask who they are, they **** up. Last night I called it back, typical telemarketer phone, busy for a while, yet when I got through and asked who the company was, they ***g up. I would LOVE to report them but not sure where. The phone says T SS LLC on the caller ID. I made sure they didnt get alot of work done last night by putting my phone on redial and just letting it ring, when they answered they just ***g up on me. Once I decided to call one number off and a man answered. I asked him if it was TSS and he said yes, then when I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager he asked why. I explained someone kept ****ing up, he then said he was a 'Customer' so I asked if anyone was around and he said yes but they were all busy. I am sure whatever this is about, it is a scam!
