called with bogis story of auto accident
Person identified himself as "your grandson." I deliberately called him by a name not belonging to my grandsons--he went along with the false name I called him. I got a similar car from this same person a month or so ago and did not fall for the scam then either.
First person pretended to be a grandson who had been jailed because of auto accident. So-called grandson said a court-appointed attorney would call, which he did immediately. Wanted me to post a supposed $15,000. Did not fall for the scam.
First caller said he was my grandson, in jail as result of auto accident in North Carolina. Second caller said he was a public defender, who wanted me to go on $15,000 bond.
Called my son's grandma and said he was in jail in another state and that we needed to send bail money. My son was home and safe and never in jail. This guy should be arrested
He was very articulate and in a *** dating site just one photo ( stolen most likely). He was proposing a Dom /sub relationship. His profile said Louisville, Kentucky. He wanted to chat offline to ask what I do for work, etc. I am reporting him here and on dating site.
This person called my mother-in-law in Ohio to inform her that her grandson in Florida was in an accident and being held in a court that does not even exist. She was so upset she called me in tears. I truly believe in karma and this person will have a lot to work out in his lifetimes.
Call saying grandson was in car accident, broke jaw, was in jail. Was to send cash for bail because there was an open container of alcohol in car. Grandson is at home, not injured or in accident.
Said he was a lawyer for my mother's oldest grandson. My mother is 90 years old she was so upset. I reported the number and name.
Called and claimed to be grandson, being held in Springfield, in custody for car wreck, found alcohol in vehicle, hit a pregnant woman, and if fetus didn't survive would be charged with ******. Wanted $7,800.00 for bond money
Fake Lawyer, asked for money for a car accident, had someone pretend to be a relative in jail. Look out for this scam!!!
Fake law firm
My parents received a call from a lawyer saying their grandson, my son, had had a car accident in another state, had hit a pregnant woman and was in jail. They wanted large amounts of cash for bail and to settle a court case. These scams are disgusting and unfortunately the scammers are rarely caught. There's a special place in***** for these people.
Saying he is a lawyer and needed large amount of money because my husband was in an accident and in jail. We live several states away from the caller and my husband was at work..it was a disgusting scam
