Leave a CommentI just applied to a job on craigslist and only moments later after applying I had a phone call form Ken. He said just ;ike most of you that he liked my resume and told me he was interested in having an interview with me. He said that his company has been around for 33 years(meanwhile he sounds like he might be 30) and that they have 300 locations. He asked me when I was available for a meeting. I told him a time and he excepted it. After out phone call I looked for the company name that he gave and could not find it anywhere on the web. SO I will not be going to the interview. I hope ***ody actually goes to meet him.
@Tanya - I'm sorry, but to be frank, you're an idiot. And that also goes for any other yuppie out there that tries to justify this scam as possessing any sort of legitimacy pertaining to this "company's" claims. Mind you all that a scam does not necessarily always present itself in the form of identy theft or a scammer fishing for personal information. Honestly, to the ones that thought this guy "sounded" legitimate... Do you honestly believe that this successful business recruitor hand picked your name out of a all of the resumes listed online, and absolutely had to call you in order to offer you a chance to earn over six figures a year? And really, Tanya? It's "Sad to see people with such lazy at***udes"? It's sad to see scam artists getting rich off of those that are ****** enough to fall for so****ing like this. AND THEN TRY TO JUSTIFY THE SCAMMER'S LEGITIMACY!!! Seriously... Let's break it down...-Recruiter of a highly lucrative company contacts you.-Recruiter tells you that a colleague (and acquaintance of yours) referred you to him.-Recruiter tells you that he likes what he has heard and read about your resume, but then asks you what school(s) you have gone to/attend, and where you currently work...-Recruiter offers you a position and chance to earn over six figures a year. All you have to do is meet him up at 1930 hours.-Recruiter tells you that he works for a company of over six thousand employees and that if you call back to just ask for Ken (no last name every given throughout phone call).Hmmm........ But then?-Who is this colleague that apparently is your acquaintance as well? And why does he avoid answering the question when confronted with it?-Why would he ask you where you have graduated from and where you work if he has read your resume?-The majority of ANY entree level employee at a business firm (sales/marketing/recruiting/etc.) is at most barely over $40k. Yet with absolutely no experience he is going to offer you six figures? To Tanya and the rest of the idiots on here trying to defend this "Ken" guy...You are all either absolute complete idiots, or are in on the scam. If you are reading this post because "Ken" called you (just like me) and you came to this website to find out who he was... Please think twice about calling him back or giving him any of your personal information. It is all a scam and half.
You will only not make money when you have a negative mindset. Sad to see people with such lazy at***udes. They charge $99 to s**** your own business when you have to spend ***dreds of thousands to own any other type of business in this country. I wish people would stop whining over $99, when they easily spend that on more ridiculous stuff that doesn't last a lifetime like this company!
I meant Ken for an interview. Great person and Unbelievable company. I got laid off after making 6 figures and now I want to be in business for myself! This seems like an honest opportunity and I am looking forward to putting my all into it!
I met Kenneth and I am working with him in Primerica. Great guy.Too bad you are misinformed.
This company, Primerica has paid my husband and I a quarter of a million dollars a year for the last 10 years. So you are full of it!
Complete Scam, Avoid.
This guy is from a Multi level marketing company called Primerica. They charge you 99 dollars to join and 24 dollars a month after that. They say that the 99 is for a background check, but they don't tell you about the 24 dollar charge, that comes as a surprise each month after that. The sad thing is that this Kenneth is placing ads in Craigslist in the jobs section, so naturally people go to he expecting a 9 to 5 but he gives you nothing but the same old **** that you get from Amway. Bottom line is when you have to pay up front to get a job there is always a catch. I had a couple of jobs that required me to get some tools but they had enough confidence in the job that they paid for the tools and just docked my pay check when I had the money. YOU will NOT make money with Primerica STAY AWAY.
Got the call from Kenneth at about 5 pm for an interview-no company info no nothing! Scam! Be aware!
T.F.S.Kenneth states he has an office at 22960 Shaw Rd. Sterling, Va....no T.F.S. office exists in the area (per T.F.S.) and there is no listing for said office in any database online.
I researched the number, goes to a cell.... Despite this blog, unprofessional phone manner, etc. asked info on company when Kenneth asked to set up an interview-- then called the main company....the company whom Kenneth says he is part of, DOES NOT have an office in the DC metro area (DC, MD, VA).Moreover, the company has NO IDEA who Kenneth Ripa is! Period. This is some sort a scam....I know job ***ting is difficult, but I'm confident if you go meet this person you will be wasting your time and possibly get into a situation that will be worse then you're already in.
I got a call from Kenneth who met me at my job. He said he was impressed in meeting me. Its nice that someone said so****ing nice about me for a c****e :) I went to his office and met him. He is a really nice person, and I decided to s**** working with his company. The above comments do not accurately portray him.
I got a call from a Kenneth as well. Super creepy. He said he was very impressed with my resume and wanted me to come in at 7.30 pm. He sent me a text message as well. Good thing I google'd his number and saw these comments.
I picked it up andd it was a guy from a financial planning firm asking to interview me for a job i had submitted for.
I just got a call from Kenneth, I did not pick it up but he left a message. He said he was impressed with my resume and was willing to sit down and interview me. I have yet to call him back, because when I looked up the number I saw the above comments. He sounded friendly and polite not like he is described above. I will call he back and see what he is up to. I hope to have a better experience.
Yeah, it definitely was Kenneth. i also submitted for several jobs on Craigslist and when he called me, he never referenced the position or what company he was with. The interview time he gave me was also 7:30pm, which is really late for normal business operating hours.
No voicemail was left.
I submitted my resume for several jobs via craigslist and Kenneth called me back wanting to set up an interview. If this was legit he would've reference what position and company name. I don't trust him and I deleted the message.
DO you remember what company he was from? Was it the Pepsi Company?
I got a call from 301-370-6***, his name is kenneth and he was calling me about coming in for an interview. I called him back but he turned out to be a real ****, asked me to meet him at the office at 7:30 pm for an interview, which is kinda shady! When I asked to meet earlier, he gave me a hard time and was extremely insulting. He said that interviewing people is not a priority and that "you never know when someone is often a waste of time."
