301-392-8196 Called my place of work and wanted to verify employment of another person. I told them I would call back and ***g up. Number did not work.

Called asking about USPS boxes. When you try to call back it says "not in service." Don't give them any personal information.

USPS calling about "Click & Ship" service available on their website. Marked as spam since I did nothing to initiate this call.

VM Claims to be USPS, advertising their rates. Bleh.

Received a call from 1-301-392-8196 (as picked up by my caller ID) last evening. A lady was on the other side but voice was breaking up and the call was disjointed and though she repeated several times, I could only make out so****ing about some Demand Draft received (?). Being curious, I looked up the no. on the net only to discover I was not the only one to have received such odd-ball calls !From Kolkata, INDIA

They told me that they are from E-Bay, and asked for my registration details

made a missed call on my mobile phone. and im from the philippines. i wouldn't even bother to call back. if it was so important they would call a***n.

I got a call from this number and told me it was a verification from ebay India and verified my userid and my listing. Not sure if this is true.

I just received a voicemail from this #, claiming to be earthlink

These a** holes keeps calling me but not leaving a message or even saying anything when i pick up, and when i try to call it back it says its not a good number. If you see this number appear don't pick up its a scam......

I noticed on my caller ID that I received a call from this number at 1:35am. I looked it up here and it jogged my memory that I had a problem logging on to ebay and the ebay support person called to verify I was me. So it could be from a call center that handles multiple online services (ie. oracle, microsoft, ebay).

Who is this?  Do I know u?  ***???

Same like Alan, got a call from this number on my cell on Thursday 9/11/2008 about 4:32 PM EST. I answered it but no one responed from the other end.

Got a call from this number on Sa****ay 8/16/2008 about 4:00pm EST - caller ID indicated Sutherland... rang twice, answered it but no one on the other end.... phone went to dead call.

I've been getting phone calls ever since I opened an Office live free website. They say they are from Microsoft. Today my Check Card wa***** with a $500.00 charge. I called microsoft and they told me that Microsoft Never calls anybody. All their follow-ups are via e-mail. This is a big scam. They somehow know when someone gets some service with Microsoft, so they know you're going to be gullable that it's a legitimate call, but IT'S NOT!

Received a legitimate call from Oracle/Hyperion support on a service request that I had logged.

called me twice in a row wen i called it back it would not let me through

I just got called it was Hughes Net Technical Support about an issue I had - so it was a legit call.

This number called me twice in about 5 minutes apart, would not talk or leave a message. I am on the do not call list.

i got 3 calls from them, all back to back! i didnt recognize the number and didnt bother to pick up but when i called the number back it didnt go thru. How annoying!

Calls all the time.  doesn't leave message.  Pain in the neck.  Stop calling already.

Received call on 3/20/08 about a domain name with Microsoft small business - so****ing - in my name that I didn't request. Foreign sounding female voice directed me to a website where I could cancel the domain name request. She said the name was free for a year and then would be charged to my credit card. Told her I would not give the information requested to cancel an account I had not requested. One of the questions was "last 4 digits of card used to pay for site" The web site looked official but I wasn't going to give out secrure info. She said she would check with the technical dept. and get back to me. If this was a true Microsoft call it was very bad PR. I was on hold for most of the conversation = about 15 min.

Definatly a Microsoft Office Live call..for building websites if you have recently signed up w/ them

Called today and asked for me (gave my full name to my sister) and told my sister that they were calling from Microsoft.
