The phone rings at least twice a day with this number and "Bank of America'' in the caller ID. I never pick it up. One time, it left a voice mail instructing me to call a toll-free number during regular business hours. Another time, it left a nonsensical message that sounded like a wrong number, but I believe was intended to provoke me into returning the call. I understand that this is yet another attempt by a company not actually affiliated with BofA to sell a service, using BofA's customer lists. I have received numerous other calls from different numbers in the same area code and BofA in the caller ID. This is the most recent, from the last couple of weeks. I expect another call from them from a different number eventually. None of it is real, official bank business.

It's the latest version of the same call I've gotten at least twice a day for the past couple of months. After a week or so of not picking up, a new number comes up on caller ID, also from BofA. I've heard that not even pulling your account out of the bank stops it, although that's now tempting, because the calls do not stop, ever.

Have received several calls from this number in the last week, with "Bank of America'' on the caller ID. Tonight, a partial automated voice mail was left; what was recorded said to call BofA at 1-888-665-9900 for more information during business hours. That 888 number is listed in every database as an insurance company that badgers BofA customers who the bank gives its customer list. It's trying to sell some service through BofA's name.
