This is a legit number It is a merchant service company that deals with your biz credit card ma****e

A man who claims that he was a clerk of merchant service of Bank of America wants updating my credit card information. I told him that I will call my bank by myself. He said he can transfer me to another person for updating. I said: NO. I'll call my bank and find out whats going on. he said: ok, talk with you soon.I called my bank and was told my credit card is fine, no need to updating.Apparently, this was a fraudulence.

i recieved a call from this number on my cell phone at 3:59 am. i dont think a respectable company would be calling a CA number ( a cell phone number) at this time of the morning,my cell phone listed the number out of Hagerstown MD

This isn't a scam, this is for First Data where many business have their credit card ma****es..periodically a rep will call and make sure everything is running smoothly or if you just received your ma****e they will call to do a download or an update. I use to work for this company and I have had many people **** up on me thinking i was making a sales call when in reality these calls are important to you and your business. Please let us do our job their are many ways we can prove who we are if you just listen to us instead of **** up!

I've just got a call from 301-766-5000 (11/10/2010 Wednesday @11:30am PST), and a man identified himself as a tech rep from merchant services with BANK OF AMERICA (while other posts said he called from Wellsfargo), and that he need to do a security update on my Credit Card Terminal.  HUH.  I told him that I have cancelled all my Business Merchant Account with BOFA already. and ofcourse I actually did.SO THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.

I am getting a call from this number (301-766-5000) every 5 to 10 minutes for the alst 2 days.

This number called me several times this morning. This is a ***nd new line and a new phone, completely unused. Which leads me to believe that Sprint gave out my number to this company (301) 766 5000I too received tow messages with beeps, and a recording when I called the number. Yes it must be some kind of scam.

this number has been calling me s****ing at 8:11am and called 4 times.  the first 3 times it was like the called and ***g up and called and ***g up and called and ***g up.  it is my business line and it states that we open at 10am, but this also rings at my home. what a pain in the ****ocks.  this is so****ing especially s****ing at 8 in the morning.

I recived a call from 301-766-5000 to my cell and the person said 'I am sorry, i got the wrong number', ***g up. Tried calling back some but ma****e respond.

I had a call from this number, It is Wells Fargo Merchant services . they are trying to update my current computer software , that i use for merchant processing. I do not think its a scam, but it is a sales call. And just for clarification. It IS form Wells Fargo - not a third party.

I received a call from this to my cell # they asked if I was the person, i did not identify I replied with "what is this in reference too" they ***g up.

They said they were calling from merchant services ro update our credit card ma****e?  Hhhmm? Scam or what???

Person called me on my cell phone, said he'd gotten the wrong number, ***g up. Tried calling back, no dice, some ma****e.

I received 2 calls in a row from this number on my cell phone.  Each time there was a beep like a fax ma****e on the other end.
