A fraud call- talking to CITI and they did not call me Beware

City bank fraud dept.

I got a call from this number claiming to be Citi Fraud to check on a credit card. They had a LOT of my personal information including the last 4 digits of a current Citi Visa card. They had me confirm address, both phone numbers,etc and then asked me to give them a security password to lock the account. It was not a current Visa card. I then called my Citi customer service # and they verified that the number was in the area but NOT Citibank. Do not talk to these people...!

This is Citibank North America It's a good idea to call back and find out what they wanted if you have an account at that bank. They handle ThankYouNetworkPromotions and EarlyFraudUnit. Also they call customers that have given negative feedback to find out why. Which is what I had done This can be trusted to call not spam or sales

Left a message saying they were from Citibank Early Fraud Detection Department.

Caller ID says it is Hagertown, MD....keeps calling my number and does not leave messages.

I received a very su****ious call from this number. They asked for a name then said, "There's a serious fraud. Is this a business? I'll call another number."

My wife and I both received calls from this number regarding an "Experian credit card application" for which neither of us had applied.  Operator said they were Citibank, but almost immediately began asking for personal information, which I declined to provide.  Beware.

This was citibank letting me know about a fraud alert...my wife had called them to activate a new card but didn't know the password, which led them to call me.

Call came to Kansas from Maryland at 11:02 hours Central Standard on 4-1-10. Call not answered and no message left. Called ID said "Hagerstown, MD".

Citibank wanted to check on some charges on my Diners Club - They called my Cell Phone afterward - as I was indeed traveling, and my Hotel Charge was OK.You will want them to call you, in case you have fraudulent charges on your card.

It's Citi Bank credit card calling to verify the most recent charge. I decided to call the number on the back of my card to make sure that they wanted to verify the charges. Didn't give original caller my info.

said he was from citi bank fraud department....he actually beeped in while a person was on the other line from a call that the caller id said was from citibank fraud dept also......confused as to what she/he wanted......wanted to know if i had the card in my possession.....really weird. didn't give them any info that's for sure !

I call back after disconnect noise(beep beep beep beep beep)uses the rest of my answering system time up(4 minutes)and hear lovingly "Citi Corp Credit"on the other end with a recorded list of options which include EVERY CONCEIVABLE OPTION EXCEPT HOW TO GET ON THE DO  NOT  CALL  LIST!!! WhoooI have had it!

Just got a call from this number. They left a unhearable message I heard the name Citi Card in the message but when I dialed the number they left i got a message saying "Welcome to Verizon conference calling".

should be citibank. They left a message considering my credit card.

Applied for credit card last night.Caller on this number said they were confirming facts for the card.They were able to name the card and knew my name.I believe this is a legit call from Citi Group.If you get a call from them and didn't apply for a card: someone else may be using your phone #!

Got a call asking for a name close to mine, but not me.  ***g up when I told them it was a wrong number.

These guys call me and left an unhearable message, when I called the caller id number later, it said it was "not in service"
