received a email/text msg from "[email protected]" stating: Please Call 1 (304) 462-2370, or 1 (305) ***-9475. TICFCU ISSUE

Test message on my Verizon phone which has an Atlanta, GA area code. "Call: 3044262370 ExpressDirect" from: '[email protected]" Just a spammer.

Same story as everyone else. Received a weird text telling me to contact this number, with "Expressdirect" in parentheses. Before doing anything, I got online to see what other people had said about similar texts...clearly this is spam.

Didn't even bother calling it. It's so obviously a scam!

My experience was the exact same as what Tasha described below. Got a text. Called to find out who was contacting me and got the message that my express card had been restricted to limited function due to an internal error. Then they directed me to enter my 16 digit card number. They didn't give me the option to get any company information or speak to anyone - just the voice recording repeating every 20 or 30 seconds saying to give them my card number. A DEFINITE attempt to defraud anyone willing to give up that information. I'll be passing this along to the authorities.

I got a call, looked here to see what was up... so I called it from a land line. They say that my express card has been restricted to limited function due to an internal error. Please press 1 to be verified. So I pressed 1... just to see, and they asked me to enter in my 16 digit card number. DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER enter your card number over the phone. Luckily, I know this, unfortunately, some don't. I'm commenting here in hopes that someone will see this and not be taken advantage of.

Received a text from [email protected] at 9:59 a.m. CDT on July 2, 2013. Message was "[Express Direct]Call 3044622370" Did not call because I suspected it was spam.

[email protected] texting for me to call this number with the name Express Direct. I'm not doing that ever.

I called this number back from a different phone than the one I received the text on. DEFINITELY sounds like spam! It says that my 'Direct Express' debit card has been compromised. I don't even HAVE one. It said to "press 1 to be verified". I didn't press anything at all, and it asked for my 16 digit debit card number.
