What about calls from market research or polling firms? Who Can Still Call You? Consumers should understand that registering on the National DNCL will reduce but not eliminate all telemarketing calls. There are certain kinds of telemarketing calls that are exempted from the National DNCL Rules. The exemptions include telemarketing calls made by, or on behalf of: Ca***ian registered charities; Political parties, riding****ociations and candidates; and Newspapers of general circulation for the purpose of soliciting subscriptions. Telemarketing calls from organizations with whom you have an existing business relationship are also exempt. You are considered to have an existing business relationship with a telemarketer if you: Purchased, leased, or rented a product or service in the last eighteen (18) months from the telemarketer; You have a written contract with the telemarketer for a service that is still in effect or expired within the last eighteen (18) months; and/or You asked a telemarketer about a product or service within the last six (6) months. Telemarketers may also call you if you have provided express consent to be called. Express consent includes: Your permission on a written form, electronic form, or an online form; or Your verbal permission. The National DNCL Rules to not apply to telemarketing calls made to businesses. What can you do to reduce telemarketing calls that are exempt from the National DNCL Rules? If you do not want to be called by a telemarketer making an exempted call, you can ask to be put on the telemarketer’s own specific do not call list. Every Ca***ian telemarketer is required to maintain such a list and respect your wishes not to be called. Organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are not required to keep their own specific do not call lists. What about calls from market research or polling firms? Calls from organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are also exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules and are not required to keep an internal do not call list. These types of calls are not telemarketing calls because the caller is not asking you to purchase, lease or rent products or services.
Recieved a call at 10:30 pm last night. Woke me up and I was NOT very happy. Checked on here, called the 306-652-5160 #, pressed 6 and when the person came on the line, asked to be removed and told them I was not impressed with being woken up at 10:30 at night. Now to see if I'm called a***n or not!
I get called twice daily for the past 3 weeks from this number. No one is there when I answer and no message is ever left when I don't answer. When I redail the number it tells me this number is not in service.
The number 306-664-7464 ,after some investigating has been found to be registered to Norsask Consumer Interviewing Services. Norsask conducts surveys and market research. When you call that number, you reach an out of service recording. This number is not on SaskTel?s network so we cannot****ist with complaints regarding this number. There are other companies who provide local phone service in Saskatchewan. Please be advised to call Norsask?s main number 306-652-5160, press 6 , and request to be removed from their calling lists. Thank you for using www.sasktel.com. Please reply to this e-mail with any further questions.
This number has nothing to do with SaskTel. It belongs to Norsask Consumer Interviewing Services and is just a name they gave some out trunks. The Do Not Call number for them is 306-652-5160. SaskTel has no recourse in a situation such as this. When is a phone number not a phone number??
Don't put up with a companies shady tactics. The number is in ca***a. Report them to the CRTC here:http://www.crtc.gc.ca/RapidsCCM/Register.asp?lang=E

Here's what Andy Rooney suggests doing:Three Little Words That Work!:1)The three little words are: "Hold On, Please..." Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of ****ing-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming, that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you know it's time to go back and **** up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a ma****e makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real" sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately s**** hitting your # ****on on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the ma****e that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!!
