We were trying to adopt a kitten on a well known legit site. The "owner" started asking for money upfront, and when I said I would bring it with me when I come, they said they needed the money to transport it to me. (It's supposedly only 4 hrs away). When I said I only deal in cash and face to face, they said "sorry you're not interested and have a good day"
