Leave a CommentI just got a call a today from the same person with the same message and number. I am also glad I looked up this number first! A lot of scammers out there.
This same thing happened to me at 1:01 pm, Thursday, June 24. I became VERY su****ious because the person who called, John Diaz, did not mention the company. He said he found my resume on careerbuilder.com and to call the next person in the interview process, Bill Morris. So I did some investigating and found this website. SCAMMERS. Will report to careerbuilder.com immediately.
Just got the same message; a blocked call from John Diaz. He saw my resume on CareerBuilder but did not say what company in ***tington Beach he worked for. The message indicated that the next step is to call VP John Morris. Glad I Googled the telephone number first!
Got a message from John Diaz from Unknown number. said that he saw my resume online, etc.. same as everyone else. I I will find out who they are and see what I can come up with for this site. They are at it a***n. Careerbuilder is turning into a real scam site.
same story here lol some people are are such ****s
I got the same phone call today - I didnt pick up because caller ID did not identify who was calling - just said 'private caller'. The message left was the same. The caller said he was John Diaz and that he saw my resume on Career Builder and wanted me to come work for his company. Left Bill Morris' phone number 310-329-6127 as the one to call in the next step of the interview process. Never left the name of his company in the message. Was so glad I looked up the phone number online and got this site and read the messages left. What a scam. Has anyone figured out who they are?
I just got this call as a voice mail. SO I called the 310 number and told them they're gonna have to be tricker, cause word's out on them already. LOL
Got a message from a 714 number by a lady named Barbara. She said she was calling on behalf of "Bill" who is with a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company and she found my resume on CareerBuilder. Left the 310-329-6127 number as a call back and said the offices were located in ***tington Beach. No name of any company was mentioned, or the type of job. No thanks.
this number has called many times, no messages left.
hah! same thing just happened to me. John Diaz said that the company was going to merge with another one and become the biggest financial company in America. I found it to be kind of odd when he began to mention Bill Morris. WEIRD. Bill never answered my calls nor my messages. A huge scam. I am so glad I found this thread to help me steer away from them! Stay away from these freaks.
Yeah this guy called me too, He said his name was John. but blocked his number blocked. he said that he saw my resume on careerbuilder and wanted to interview me for a job. He said that the number he was leaving for me was for Bill Morris. He indicated this was the second step in the interview process. He never ltold me the name of his company.
So did a bit more research since i got the SAME exact MO (including the, call after 9:30am because he will be in an early meeting)http://www.torrancefirstbaptist.org/Proclaimers/Proclaimer%209-2009.pdfSeems like he's a pyramid scheme guy... not sure how it works (whether or not its the dollar in the envelope, or buying items, etc) But "money management" is usually code for scam.I'd call it up and have fun with him. Tell him you work for the FBI and such and are *****ing down or pyramid scheme cases and what not... it would be hilarious!
same story with me. got the call march 4th, and i returned the call and it went straight to bill morris voicemail. **** i was eager to get a job interview. good thing i looked up this number so i don't get my hopes up
Sa****ing here on the message. This is a scam. I will not be calling. Thanks for the heads up...
Approximately 3:30 pm on Tuesday, March 02, 2010 a John Diaz contacted me to acknowledge reviewing my resume on CareerBuilder, advised me to call the number listed in these other submissions and claimed the "next step" was with Bill Morris, a V.P. with a company in O.C.Was told to call before 5:30 pm today or tomorrow after 9:30 am, and that John Diaz reviewed my resume and that the company wanted to hire me. Same M.O., mystery company in O.C. and no mention as to what position they were seeking to fill. When this usually happens, I do this number lookup and the usual is what is discussed and left as information---which is no one knows anything as in information. Which leaves me skeptical because anyone who has offered any type of position does the complete opposite!
Glad I Googled this number before I called back...got the same message. Didn't leave company name and asked me to call Bill Morris. Like Kevin I'll be staying away.
Same story here from above comments... no company name etc. vp. interview process etc. I checked number and same stuff. Will steer clear. Thanks.
Just got the same things as the person right above me. You get anywhere? I searched both of these guys and couldn't find much. Odds are it's some typ of scam because no reputable business wouldn't say what company they worked for.
Yeah this guy called me too, but blocked his number so he went to voicemail saying he saw my resume on careerbuilder and wanted to interview me for a job. He said his name was John Diaz and that the number he was leaving for me was for Bill Morris. He indicated this was the second step in the interview process. He never left the name of his company. My friend works for the Sheriff's department and this number is either out of Torrance or Gardena, so we will locate it soon.
I got a similar call. His name is Bill Morris. I left a message because I really need a job, but he hasn't returned my call and every time I call I get his voice mail.
a guy left a message on my voicemail saying he seen my resume and wanted to interview me. he mumbled the business name(which could not be understood) he owned. very creepy
