Leave a CommentI just recieved call from some lady regarding job interview, and resume posted online. As I had bad reception I asked her to give her callback not knowing it would be some kind of scam I called her back and left voice messege with my other 2 callback numbers, what caughy my attention that first it was transferred to some Google Voice account and then transferred back to this number. This seemed fishy as no company would use Google voice and in their Voice mail they would have company name and other information regarding person who u calling back. I instantly searched for this number online and found out ****, this number is being used to scam people. BE AWARE, THEY ALREADY CALLED ME ONCE BACK AND I ASKED MORE DETAILS REGARDING COMPANY and she ***g up on me. DO NO ANSWER ANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER
As a police officer I can definitely say that WFG is a scam. The poster above, DG, is trying to push a pyramid scam down your throat. They really on you joining and it is not a real job interview that they pass it on*****ave your self the headache and avoid these people at all costs. We get complaints all the time and the best advice we tell people is to avoid anything that appears to be pyramid scheme related. These groups live off skirting the law and that is the only reason why they haven't been thrown in jail yet.
I just can't believe how many people make comments before they actually see the real thing. How can you make judgement on a company just because someone else did not succeed or misunderstood what it really is. I was a WFG****ociate, but I decide not to continue with the compmay after 2 months. But I was so impressed with the people that helped me and my wife rolled over my 401k to IRA, my 401k was loosing tons of money like many of you in this Blog, but I was open minded enough to seek other options. These were the only people that approached me, while my Merril Lynch guy did not even give me a call during all the bad things happend in the market the last two years. I've lost over 30% of my retirement. Thanks to WFG, they educated me and helped me to diversify my funds, now I really understand my money. Be a little more wise and courteous before you ruin other's name, and do more research and common sense before you jump into conclusion about one company's good name. Do you really think that SEC and Department of Insurance and all of the product provider are so ****** that they continue to let this company operate business? I think all of you in this blog are just so much smarter than these regulator and insurance companies.
I also received a call from an Asian female named Elizabeth from 310-409-9960. My caller ID had the name Lin, Lixian. The female stated she had my resume and was calling regarding an interview for a job in Brea. No company name was given only to call her back at 714-900-2389. I didn't call because of the previous messages. Beware she is still calling people.
Same thing as everyone before. Asian accent and said she had my resume and wanted to set an interview in Brea. Did not leave a company name.
I have the same story but a new # 714-837-3362 and address is same 3350 E Birch #200 Brea. She was not willing to discuss about the work and was just stress on a one to one interview. So I asked my friend to call this # and guess what he was also offer an interview which he rejected. My advice is not to get involved in these things.
I got a VM from Elizabeth yes****ay afternoon. When I heard the message at first I could not understand her since her accent was so heavy. After the second listen I thought why would someone in Brea be calling from a 310 number. I did not like how she did not give any information on the company and so I googled the number to find out and came across this page.
Yes, I just got the call 10 mins ago. I was online reading about these when I called her back. I interjected the conversation to tell her what her address is.. (the birch street) she seemed a bit shocked, but agreed that was the correct address for the interview, so I told her bye!
Just got the same call from Elizabeth. I don't answer numbers I don't know, but she left a voice mail.
Yes received a call late last night 9pm , she didnt leave any info about the company, just saying she seen my resume. Really hard to understand what she was saying. You know its bad enough that so many people are looking for work and people like her are wasting our time with BS !!Thank God I did a number research and found out that this is just another scam !
Ugh! ME TOO!! Same scenario. Got a message from the asian lady at 7pm which seemed strange. I'm glad I checked first. I was ready thinking about moving to Brea....
SAME THING OVER HERE.....LOL!!!! LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE HAS LEFT THE SAME DESCRIPTION AND INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE. GOOD THING I RESEARCHED THE TELEPHONE NUMBER.
Same thing. She left me a voice mail. Thick Asian accent. She just said that she wanted to set me up for and interview in Brea. I am super happy that I checked the number!
Yup! She did call me today, and left me a Voice Mail, I actually thought it was for real, and so****ing told me to check online, and this came about... I was so shocked... Wow! Be careful out there...
Received call last night from Elizabeth who said she wanted to set up an interview for a job in Brea. My resume was recently posted in Career Builder, so this must a new scam involving recently posted resumes. Her accent was thick Asian, hard to understand. I too was puzzled why a company in Brea would have a Beverly Hills telephone number. I was glad I checked it out on the internet to save myself wasted time and money. Didn't call her back, so no more particulars. BEWARE: No legitimate company will make you ever pay for a background check, it is a cost their incur as part of their normal cost of doing business!!
I got a call from Bruce from some company in Brea, CA wanting to meet with me for an interview after reviewing my resume. 4 days later I get a call from an asian lady by the name Elizabeth also. I s****ed doing some heavy research on 2 individuals and company they work for. Apperently, they'll have you come into their office in Brea, CA for an interview with other candidates and s**** feeding you there BS, with all the money you will make, bonuses, benefits, etc. and towards the end they will hit you up for $100-200.00 dollars cash for a background check....... Are you kidding me? What company in their right mind will charge you for anything to work for them? Is there sign on my frehead that says I just crossed the border or walked off the banana boat........ Nothing but a bunch of loosers, STAY AWAY!!! I hope to god that Elizabeth b***h calls me tomorrow so I can rip her a new one in english and not with an accent either...............
I got a call from this # as well. Also sounded like an asian lady with a very thick accent. She called to remind me of an interview with Dock Armstrong @ 3350 E Birch St. 200, Brea, CA. 92821 at 1:00 pm. She mentioned that if I could not make it for any reason, that I should call 714-399-1805. She did not leave her name or the company she worked for.2 Days before this, I got a call from a Bruce asking if I would be willing to be trained for a job in Brea. His number was 805-754-0119. He said it would be a group presentation with multiple candidates and to dress professionally. Afterwards we would be broken up, and interviewed individually and the whole interview/presentation process would take approximately 1.5 hours. I asked what type of position this was for and he said marketing. I asked what type of work the company does and he said they handle different types of Marketing Collateral for various companies. I inquired as to why he was calling me from an 805 area code if Brea is deep in Orange County, he said he had been commuting to Brea. I ask him other questions regarding the commute and he refused to answer them by c****ing the subject several times. There was so****ing very shady about the whole approach, so I scheduled the interview so that I could have time to research the company. The fact that 1 company has multiple numbers from various area codes raised a red flag. This whole approach feels a lot like those Multi-level Marketing schemes taking advantage of vulnerable unemployed people. I got a call from these people only 1 day after posting my resume on Monster.com, so beware what you post on the net. After several red flags, I decided not to keep the interview BUT did not call them back.
I got the same call and gave me a false website address or an outdated one. She said she had my resume and gave me the address, 3350 E Birch St. 200, Brea, CA. 92821. Very thick asian accent.
Called back got a hold of an Elizabeth, the accent is very thick as noted above. She would not really talk much about the company and I got the name Acom (not sure if I heard correctly). Also stated it is a financial company???She noted it is in a new field even before she had my resume up on here screen, odd - sounds just like those many MLM's that call all day saying they are not such.
Called my cell phone. NO caller ID. The only way I got the number is that I received a voice mail notification on my cell. The caller was female, had a very thick accent, and said she was calling about my resume for an interview, which she repeated twice, then said so****ing about "in the City of Brea." But the number is a Beverly Hills cell phone number. If it were a legitimate recruiter calling, I'm sure they would have left a more detailed message. Not the first time that I've received a voice mail on my cell with no traceable caller ID - not even "withheld" or "unknown" shows on the scree. Needless to say I will not be calling back.
