I got an emailed voicemail message from: Asterisk PBX Subject: [PBX]: New message 2 in mailbox ****x (a number) Email reads:"Dear : just wanted to let you know you were just left a 0:22 long message (number 2) in mailbox #****X (a number) from 3109287055, on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 09:23:02 AM, so you might want to check it when you get a chance. Thanks! --Asterisk"Then the voicemail bar shows below the email.I clicked on it to listen to this message: "Your CraigsList account authorization code is ****X (a number). Once a***n your CraigsList account authorization code is ****X. Goodbye."I recently acquired a VoIP line for my laptop computer, to use when I'm out of town and have no cell phone coverage. I was having trouble getting an in-state phone number from the company so, I called them to find out what happened to all the in-state phone numbers they had listed just the day before when I looked (I hadn't bought one then because I didn't have payment set up). Anyway, the VoIP company said someone from CraigsList had bought up around 10,000 (+/-) phone numbers across the country the night before to use a account verification numbers. I cannot find anything about this account verification biz on CraigsList's site, so I'm not really sure what this is. It could actually be someone running a service through CraigsList. I think it would be wise to contact CraigsList's offices to confirm this code number, the account verification thing, and it's use.
This number is from Craigslist to verify your phone number when placing a service ad. It calls you to give you the code to enter for your phone number to be verified and continue to place your ad.If you are not placing an ad, someone has made a typo when entering yours or using a bogus phone number which happens to be yours. Maybe, your friend or fo.hope this helps!
I was looking through my call log and found this number. I couldnt remember where I received it from until I found this site. For me it was verifying my phone number for Sitepoint Marketplace. So I think its a phone number verification service used by a few different places.
was chatting with a guy who said he was in the military and he was special forces and had to varify my number. Then I get a call from the 310 number and it gives me a code. I meet this guy on Mate 1, he goes by nikiajjones. He did give me a phone number, haven't dialed it yet to see what it is. Dam sure hope this is not a scam...

Received this call at 11:15pm, we were already in bed. The message said that this is your code and gave some numbers. I was very confused. I hope this isn't a scam or so****ing. Someone on another site said that following this call they had several attempts on their credit cards. The weird thing is that there are so many different explainations for the same number. Some say that it is some kind of gambling site also. Who knows? I guess we just all need to be vigiliant and watch all accounts.
