I am living in India. Still I got email on my official email id stating about an accident with a vehicle registered on my name in US.

Same as everyone else but when I told the guy to stop scamming people he insisted that this was real and the driver, a John Edwards, didn't want to get out of his car because I was acting crazy and he was scared of me....which is kind of hysterical because most scares **** up the phone when you call them out. PS - His accent sounded Russian to me.

Said I was involved in a hit and run and they have video of me fleeing the scene.

This is some sort of SCAM. It was an email saying my car was video taped in an accident and that it left the scene. In the email it said to call my insurance company at this number. The email address was Amy Banks . The letter was signed Milbank LLP Insurance.

Said our car was involved in an accident. Impossible on that date

Milbank insurance- a car registered to our acct was in a hit and run. All drivers in our account were on a vacation in another state.

He said that my boss was involved in an accident on 6/26/21, but the email says 7/12/21 and that although my boss did not have an accident, his vehicle was involved in an accident. Clue-the site he wanted me to go too was blocked by our virus protection. I immediately, said I will call you back and if you have proof mail it.
