I got the text referenced above & came here hoping for information that'd help me sort out whether the text was legit. Judging by the fact that, 1. comes from a local number/landline' 2. Facebook would like communicate with me directly from a fb website 3. I could not find a place online with the website on the text ('normuusd.com") 4 comment above. I will treat this as spam or a scam.

This guy is scamming people, texting them and claiming they need to authenticate their FB account and tries to get you to click on a link that is probably a virus
