Leave a CommentI have received several calls from this phone #. When I pick up the phone they don't say anything. And as others have mentioned when I call back no one is available, and the recording states to leave a message. But then say the person can't accept anymore messages on their recorder. Today 7/8/2011 they called when I wasn't home, and didn't leave a message. I also have received calls from a person asking to speak to the person who pays the Consumers Power Gas bill. I told them I have all electric in my home. I'm thinking about reporting this to the Michigan Attorney Generals office. I know sometime they can do so****ing to investigate.
Someone has been calling my mom and asking her to pay the money for the gas that she filled up in her car with her credit card, and got declined afterwards, she does'nt own a credit card she always pays cash, and when we called the number on the caller ID no one answers. My mom didn't give the person any personal asked informations for how to pay money by phone. She ignored all the effort made by the person that called her. So****ing should be done to those scamers. The mostly try to get the old people.
I tried calling back to tell them to take us off their calling list and got a recording that all agents were on other calls and to leave a message, then the message mailbox was full.
Woman who called said she wanted to speak to the person in the home who was responsible for our Consumers Energy bill. The caller ID showed a business name of "Accatel" which is clearly NOT Consumers Energy. She called at 11:20 on Monday, July 4, 2011, a holiday. I told her before she even said anything other than to ask to speak to the person who is responsible for the Consumers Energy bill, that we are not interested and to take our number off their calling list. She actually refused to do that. She said, "We'll just call back another time." REALLY???
I also am being harrassed by this phone number. A gas company scam...as we just have electric heat in addition to our outside burner..... SCAM!!!
Got a call - just showed Michigan ID - didn't answer and received no message....

A random person called my phone at 2:33 pm while I wasn't at home and left messages that didn't say anything, just someone breathing.
A gentlemen called me from this number stating that he was a law enforcement officer, and asked about the last four digits of my social security number. We have had trouble with people calling stating that we have taken out loans and threaten to arrest us, which we have since found out were scams. I stopped him and told him that we had called the FBI and FTC on this matter, and have actually filed a complaint with the FTC. He then became irrate and told me he was not going to discuss any further information with me and that I should contact my lawyer and then proceeded to **** up on me!

Phone call- He had to tell me twice who he was (caller ID told me Accatel) because I couldn't understand him. Then he told me that they had sent me so****ing a while back and they didn't get any response and then he said, "You need to go get your Gas Bill and ...." and then I cut him off by saying "Excuse me? What exactly are you calling for?" He replied that he was calling about our Michigan Gas Bill and I said that we use Semco Energy not Michigan Gas and proceeded to tell him that he was rude and to not call back a***n......Furious!!!
Called to offer me a 10 percent discount on my gas bill because of my "excellent payment history". Repeatedly asked how he knew my payment history. The caller ***g up.Didn't find out the name of the gas company. Shows as "Accatel" on caller id --- but I think Accatel is an IP phone service provider.
Called my 82 year old ***her to convince him to switch from Michiagn Gas to another company promising a 10% discount. The caller - Mr. Turner - said he was calling from Michigan Gas and asked for my ***her's account number and other pieces of information.
Called and ***g up with no message.
Called our gas company and they said since Michigan was deregulated their are 6 different companies that are soliciting business. Recommended if you talk to them not to give out your account number or any other data but ask these 3 questions. 1. Are the rates they offer fixed or a based on market c****es? 2. What if any is the length of contract they require. 3. Is their an exit fee if you decide to leave them early and if so how much. My agent said it may be worth listening to as they may actually be able to save you money. Just do not provide any account information until they answer those questions. If you are satisfied with their answers explore their offer further.
