Got a call while I was at the gym, did not answer.  I was curious since they called my cell, I usually do not get telemarketers calling me on this line and thus wondered who would call me from the US.  I guess they have a good long-distance call plan...lol

They called my home number on July 2 2008 at about 7:50 PM.

Telephone surveys/charties/political organizations isn't telemarketing. Clearly, there are people here who are ignorant about the difference between telemarketing and survey companies/political organizations/charities calling. Telemarketing is basically trying to sell a product(s)/service(s) over the telephone. The Do Not Call list was intended to target telemarketers. If you want these other people to stop calling them, ask them to be on their Do Not Call list, and that should take care of the company. Market Research isn't a scam. Stop flaunting your ignorance on a subject you know nothing about, like who the Do Not Call list applies to and doesn't apply to. Stop spouting off on a topic you obviously have little to no knowledge about. sick and tired, it's not a***nst the law to call someone on the Do Not Call list, it's only a***nst the law if the company/person calling is a telemarketer or some other organization that has to adhere to the Do Not Call list. jplindy, you're an idiot. Market research companies/political organizations/charities aren't bound by the Do Not Call list. If you don't like it, then they could be put on the Do Not Call list. If you have a problem, talk to the company that hired them to conduct the survey in the first place. Market research companies get paid by the client who hired them, so talk to the company who hired the market research company, because the market research company wouldn't be calling you unless they were hired to do so.

Called this afternoon...they claim they are not bound by the National Do Not Call Registry.  Yeah, right!  I can claim that, too, and then call people about my business and tell them the same thing.  Only difference is, I am a respectful business person who would never intrude into another life or business. I will never understand the ******ity behind those who push to be somewhere they are not wanted.  How low can they go?

I've received 2 calls from this number: 8:30pm on 6/24/08 and 4:15pm 6/25/08-- both come up as Maritz Research. I've filed complaints with the donotcall.gov on both occasions

i'm on do not call list and received this call last night - did not answer.

Just received a call to my cell. It was Maritz Research. I called the number back and got a recording. Here is the skinny: They do surveys for companies like BofA. Unfortunately it is well within BofA's (or any of Maritz's customers) to call. Since they are not a telemarketing or sales firm, they are not restricted by federal or state do not call lists. They gave a number to be removed from their call lists (i.e. added to the Maritz do not call list). It is 800-864.8601. It is automated so you don't have to talk to anyone. Just put in the number they called. I hope that helps.

Received a call around 6:30 PM on today (6/23) and I did not answer; CID said "MISSOURI CALL". I am also on the DO NOT CALL list. Of course my rule of thumb is if I don't know the caller on the other end I just don't answer. Even if they leave a message wanting me to call back if I don't know them I don't call em back. Callers like these should be locked up forever or sent over to the Middle East/Iraq zone. (Comment intended for humor not harm) :)

These people are relentless.  They have called like 10 times in a week.

I received a call from this number on Sunday evening after 8:30.  I did not answer the call and the caller did not leave a message. I am on the do not call listing and would hope that these annoying calls would cease.

This number called tonight. I looked it up on here and found this website. I am glad I did. This is the first I have seen it on my cid.
