After this, I got repeated calls from this number, claiming to be from Amazon Gifts team. I ***g up immediately, as it was clear to me it was a scam call. Then googled this number, got hit with this link.

7/17, 9:50 a.m. Central. "I'm calling because there was a payment of $100 on your Amazon Reload account, and it didn't go through." Amazon gift card verification - I had purchased a gift card, and the call was to verify that it was made by me. I got an email saying a call was coming and then 20 seconds later, my phone rang and they just asked if I bought a gift card in X amount, all they needed was a yes/no verification and the purchase was approved. Not a scam, it's legit.
Everytime I pick up i hear nothing. Its called me multiple times now.
They stated my name asked about a recent order on Amazon asked what the package was and my address and said they will ship the package.
Scam. (Not Amazon) foreign country phone called to verify that I DID NOT purchase a $25 gift card from Amazon. After responding NO, said they would cancel transaction. Next day bank statement showed a $25 withdrawal listed as POS Amazon. After calling bank to cancel transaction and debit/credit card. Scammers are charging on card without the cards being present. Amazon no record and not involved in transaction. Phone lists number being from Amazon but Total Scam!
Seems to be SCAM foreigner, called inquiring if purchased $25 gift card from Amazon
They called and asked about my last purchase to verify I ordered it. I called today to cancel, and the number is invalid...
They wanted to know if I had indeed ordered a particular item that in fact, I had pre-ordered months ago. Didn’t feel right but they asked no other personal information. The item was supposedly to be shipped approximately now. It made sense. How would they know?
