I called back and got “welcome to Verizon’s wireless. Your call can not be completed as dialed”. So it HAS to be fake trying to get donations for the police.
They tried to get me to donate money but would ***uely answer questions I was asking. Didn’t give me enough information for me to trust them. I ***g up when they tried to get my credit card info.
The person I spoke to asked me if I would donate to some police charity if they sent me an envelope. I said that I was not going to commit to it over the phone, but I would consider it, and then they ***g up.
