Received a call this morning from "Attorney Mark Brown" claiming he was from the United Nations Legal Dept. Glad I Googled his name because I found this site, huge sigh of relief. I can't believe these idiots are willing to prey on innocent people to scam them out of money. I am not calling them back after reading these messages.

I gotten same type of call..payday loan..now they are calling from a 347-614-1507..looked the number up its in Bronx, NY..I want take action but don't where to s****. I asked them it they had a business license..he said he will talk to me tomorrow and ***g up. John Smith was his name and United Nations Legal Department.

I have had multiple calls from 3152773439 from officer david john from the united nations legal department, threatening me in a lawsuit, telling me to get my attorney... the funny thing is... he s****ed with my husbands information trying to get him to respond... then moved to me, and my cell phone and my work phone... with out knowing who was at the phone number, he told the receptionist at work that I was involved in a lawsuit... so now I beleive I will get my attorney involved... since he gave out personal information to a total stranger. Hmmmm... I am really not happy with this particular individual... oh, and the other thing.. it comes up emergency call on my cell phone.. what kind of person does that?

Also got calls from these dirtbags. They had Indian accents and also said I had defaulted on a payday loan. BS BS BS. Yelled at me, called me ***** names, threatened to have me arrested. I reported them to my state attorney general's office.

i just recieved two phone calls from "officer mark brown" from the united nations legal department. same thing.....a payday loan that was never repaid. when i told him i had never taken out a loan, i was cursed at, told i was going to go to court, called all kinds of filthy names and told that there would be police officers at my door any day now to take me away. i certainly hope someone can track these disgusting people down and take them to court. this is ridiculous

These are people trying to rip you off. DO NOT send any money. This is a scam!!!!!

I keep getting these calls to. Which I have already called the Federal Trade Commission on these guys and hopefully they will find them and convict them. I have spoke with "Office John Smith" and "Officer Griffin Bell". They just don't know when to say when do they? They also told me the same bs that they have told you. If this goes to court would you be willing to give a statement? I really hate these people.

The phone number that shows up is missing the final digit-980-056-586_? I spoke with "Francis Lopez" who proceeded to reel off a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo about not paying back a payday loan. When I asked the name of the claimant, I was told that he couldn't tell me and would only speak with my lawyer. I asked him where the firm was located and he told me that it was in a different location than I had previously been told. Asked him for his zip code and the one he gave me is nonexistent. I told him to let me think it over and to get back to me Monday morning @ 7:00 am my time. Guess what......no one called. Sounds like an old-time "boiler room" scam to me.

I got a call from "Officer John Smith" of the "United Nations Legal Department" of the United States.  (********* detector going off already!)  He said that I had applied for an online payday loan and he had verified with my bank that money had been deposited and since I did not pay it back, 3 claims were going to be "downloaded."  (more bs)  When he listed people that I had put as my references, the names were totally new to me.  I informed him that he was mistaken, and he should have a nice day, goo-bye.  He did have some of my personal information, which is a little scary, but not enough accurate information.  These people are insidious.

got a call from the above number claiming to be the United Nations Legal Department. My phone shows it is from a cell phone and the originating number is 980-056-586. (yes, that is correct, no last digit). I asked for a number to return the call and was given 315-277-3439.
