It's a scam

I am iffy about this caller cause I ask several times what venue he would be using and haven’t gotten a response asked also for the event planner number also no response any why is the family going to make the mothers surprise birthday party here in our hometown when she doesn’t live here. And then they want to know what bank I banked with and when I would get payment to send them of the receipt to confirm deposit ????????
