Leave a CommentPrecision Rx called me & told me since my insurance didn't cover my medicine, I had to use them. Not true! They are almost twice the price as Metro Drug & I just found out that Wal mArt gave them my information because Wal Mart could no longer fill my prescription.
I've been using PrecisionRx Specialty for a while now--2 years, I think, and am in contact with them monthly to refill my particular medication. Any problems I've had are the kind you'd find with any other similar company. It seems legitimate to me, though I've no idea how much or whether they save you money. That probably in large part depends on your own insurance company's drug formulary. I actually just looked up the number because a customer service agent called me to make sure they had some info about my order correct; I just hadn't recognized the number when the phone rang.
Please give PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions the benefit of the doubt. I'm not speaking on behalf of the company, but I am a current employee. Our calls are made to get your or your loved ones your medications as quickly and painlessly as possible. Logically, it doesn't make sense for us to make this process difficult for ourselves or the patients we service. If we are calling, generally, it's because we are the preferred pharmacy for your plan. Please check out the company website at
I received a call and they ***g up before I could answer the call. I received a letter from BCBS of GA that effective May 1, I had to use this company or pay higher co pays. Now that I have read the comments, I will probably pay the higher copay so I can get the medicine in a timely manner without a lot of hassle.
The company may have been called by your own insurance carrier due to c****es in coverage. My company c****ed insurance carriers at the first of the year and when the time cam for my daughter's Synagis (RSV preventative), it had to go through Precision RX due to it being considered "Major Medical" according to the new insurance plan.Under the old insurance carrier, as long as the procedure (or immunization or ****) was performed in the doctor's office as part of the visit, I only had to pay the usual co-pay. Now it is $2100 a month, of which my insurance covers about half.
I got a call from the same number and they knew my name. So I called the PrecisionRX number the person in the voicemail left and asked them to look me up in their system and the lady said I was not found. I thought this was very strange considering I'm 7 months pregnant and of course I called the company to find out if anything was wrong.
these people just called my work number 17 TIMES in 3 HOURS. they didn't leave a message, just called obsessively. this is fishy, as i have just transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy
The number is legitimate, Precision RX Specialty. They were calling to ask permission to bill me for my MS medicine because my co-pay has gone up with the new year.
They are a rip off!
We have double medical coverage including Rx. The Rx service we receive is top rate as well as inexpensive. What makes these ****s think that I will buy our maintenance Rx's from them???I will never answer the phone a***n from numbers I do not recognize...
annoying phone call says with the government
To whom has written this,I personally understand your frustration, from personal knowledge. I am an employee at this company and what this person has described is a classic day for precision rx. The company is in such a shamble. If I were a patient, I would not use this pharmacy. A lot of the pharmacist don't know their**** between their face. They are mostly young and come from out of school. The pharmacy techs that you may run into are as clueless as a deer. Knowing first hand and what I see everyday I sympathize with the patients. All of the departments are seperate and they fight over who is going to do what. The buck is passed so much around there that ***ody is held for accountability. Patients are told one thing when in reality it is not true. Billing is the worse department in that whole billing because half of them do not know how to read. They drag their feet on everything and patients do not get statements like they are supposed to. Not only that this person is telling the truth Arlene does work at PRXSS. If you have a complaint then I say you should go ahead and file it big time with the pharmacy board. The company hires the most illiterate personnel daily. Micro management is not their thing. I can go on and on about the companies but for all patients please run for the hills.Signed a current employee
Am I to understand that they can get us better prices on these costly pharmaceuticals? I'm a cancer survivor and my prescrpts are extremely costly but I have never inquired about purchasing them from anywhere except the local pharmacy. But, I did call in a Rx refill this morning for one med that costs me over $300/month. Then, magically these people call about my "order"? Sounds very fishy.I hate sales calls and I hate the idea of someone out there knowing anything about my medical profile without my giving it to them.
PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions is a specialty pharmacy, which distributes high-end, costly pharmaceutical medications. If they have your name and telephone number, I'm guessing they got it from your physician (or possibly even your insurance company). Typically, the doctor or insurance company sends a "referral" to PrecisionRx, and then PRxSS contacts you to talk about your medication and schedule delivery for you. When they say they're calling about your "order", it doesn't mean you've already placed an order with them. They are calling to proactively schedule delivery of a medication you have been prescribed by your doctor. The call center is very, very busy. Unfortunately, it may be necessary to remain on hold for a few minutes when you call.
I get a call every day about my order and I haven't ordered anything. They know my name as well.
I keep getting calls from this company which says it's Precision RX specialty solutions about coordinating the delivery of my order, but I haven't ordered anything. They also know my name, which kind of weirds me out. When I called the number back to see what was going on, I was on hold for 10 minutes.
