They called soliciting a donation for "The Police Department".  I asked them to send me an information packet and was told that they couldn't send anything until I confirmed a donation amount.  Then he said that he would put me down for $25 and send me a detail packet.  I said I wanted information first and he said that was fine.  I received a packet with a 'bill' for $25, a return envelope and NO info so I threw it away.  Then I s****ed getting collection calls from them.  When I told them I wasn't sending a donation without knowing anything about their company, the guy calling me had the nerve to ask why I didn't want to help police officers.  I told him that's what my taxes went for and ***g up.  I get calls all the time from them.  This is a scam.

It's my first time to receive a call from this number. I wasn't able to answer it as I was out. They didn't leave a message either. I was just curious why would a police number would call me.

I received call from this number today... it shows up as Police Protective so****ing-or-other.  What is this??

Me too. Didn't get to it on time so I can't say much but this seems interesting.

I like to call them back whenever I'm bored just to fill up their ma****e with insults about low life telemarketers.

I did some research and found the advisory council for the police protective fund.  On it is Dave Fair. His number is  325 642 8465   PLEASE CALL HIM WITH YOUR CONCERNS!!!

They called but didn't leave a message. Who is this???

They keep calling!!!  Every 3-4 months they call.  I too am on the Do Not Call List.  What do I need to do to get rid of these scammers!!

yeah this ****s, first it was "CHRIS PEARSON" who i guess is a type of survey company. When chris pearson called our house about the 5th time i answered and they asked for me by name i told them they had the wrong phone number and i havent recieved a call from them since..I did the same thing with the POLICE PROTECTION after them calling a few times..hope it works for these *******s too!...Because if you think about it the person on the other end of the phone could be ANYONE, just ready to F*** your whole world up!!..Actually i think they got my name because i use my name a lot on the net with buying products online and filling out surveys online, because it never s****ed until i did! word of advice, dont give out your real info unless absolutly must!!!!

Do not give these ****s any money.  They have even called on behalf of police dogs who want to stop drug use.  I think I need a dog with that kind of logic ability.***** you dishonest cops who hire marketing companies to impersonate you!

I just received a call from the same number/name, but they ***g up when I answered.

I received a call from this number at 1:55 pm on 03/06/08. A man asked if I was in charge of the home and when I said yes they proceeded to **** up! When looking back over my past 30 calls this number was on there a couple of times. How can I stop them from calling? I am on the do not call list which means do not call! Thanks

I recieved a call on 2/29/08. When I answered, they disconnected. I haven't heard from them since.

They called twice and ***g up.  Once I heard the ringing.

They called - a man said "dun dun dun" and ***g up.

This place is driving me nuts!  They call several times a week.  I have reported the number to every local,state and federal agency that I could find!

THey have been calling me two or three times a day for a couple weeks now.  Who can we call to get removed from their list.

I keep getting these calls through out the day. Twice today. They usually **** up and leave no message. When I answer they **** up right away. I have registered for the do not call list. Isn't this a violation?

They just called me at 11:02 a.m. on Christmas Eve.  The called ID read "Police Protection."  I answered the phone and all I heard was ringing, as if I had called them.

I told the person that i didn't give out money to people over the phone, the person stated that i didnt have to make out a plan to donate over the phone, in other words i could do it by mail.

My husband received this phone call then called me at work about it.  They asked for me by name.  Called the # back and it was a recording about the Police Protection Fund (?)... I heard a while back that they are still allowed to call even if you are on a no-call list.

I recieved a call on 12/6/07 and ***ody left a message.

I received a call from this number @ 3:40 P.M. on Wednesday 11/28/07 and when I called back, I was ***g up on. This is frustrating.
