Leave a CommentI, too, spoke with Jean at this CBE Group by calling (800) 925-6686 where I simply asked to speak with someone who could remove my # from their calling list. I gave her my mobile# and she found the record where they were trying to contact some lady at my # (and she confirmed with me her name- the same name as in the recording when I answered their calls). Jean said I was removed from their list and would not be called a***n. They do not have a phone # removal confirmation system and gave me her word that my # was removed. I'll come back and post if I receive another call from them. So far I'm pleased with the ease of removal and that I was able to be pleasant to Jean about a frustrating situation ;)
I've had three calls from these guys: 4/4, 4/8, 4/13 and 4/21. There was no answer the first couple of times and no messages the others. I just moved back to the States in January so I can't possibly owe anyone. Plus, this is on my cellphone which is also on the Nat'l Do Not Call Registry. Hopefully there is an attorney out there who'll peruse this site and nab some of these unscrupulous people.
I just got a new cell phone and CBE calls for the previous owner of my new number. They call from 319-274-1907. I did call the corporate number 800-925-6686 and spoke with someone named Jean. She said the name of the person they were trying to reach and I advised that he must have had the number before me, that this was my new cell. She advised she would have the number removed.
I owe no debts yet CBE Group keeping calling. A male with an accent, could be East Indian, constantly calls. After telling them off they then began calling every day or every other day. If you tell them you are recording them for FTC complaint purposes they **** up. I called FTC "No Call" number and registered my business phone # but thy still keep calling.I believe they are CBE Group in Waterloo, Iowa phone 800-925-6686. The 1-319-274-1907 is one of many lines they use for collection.

CBE Group Inc., 1-319-274-1907. I do not owe any back pay or money. Keep getting this call, time and time a***n, even after telling them NOT to call. Call and call and call. VERY ANNOYING. LEAVE US ALONE.
I get a call from this number at least once a day. When I answer, no one is there and the line is disconnected 30 seconds later if I sit there and listen for someone. I have never had a Verizon cell phone and don't have any credit card bills.
I keep getting call from this number as late as 8:00pm at night. I don't answer and am not going to due to the fact that I know that I don't owe anyone. I am also getting calls from 303-595-8100 which upon research shows that they are a collection agency for Verizon Wireless, also a phone company. I just got a new cell phone number. I suspect someone before me owed so****ing.

The collection agency has been given my business number as a false contact for reference. Calls a lot never leaves messages. Don't owe any money to phone companies like MCI or Verizon, can't imagine what it's about. I will try to answer the phone when they call a***n, it's totally annoying seeing my Caller ID light up and this number come as "Telemarketer." I'm on the Do Not Call List.
They keep calling but they never leave a message. I'm sure that if it was a collection agency they will leave a message with a call back number.
I am tired of receiving calls from the CBE Group and only receive a computer generated phone call. I know this is a collection agency. I would rather deal with the original company than with a recorded message. They are after a very small amount which I know about. I just want to deal with MCI and not them. Just a heads up----Verizon also has MCI for long distance service. I have Verizon Service which I have no problem with but MCI is an exception to that rule.
I keep getting calls from (319) 274-1907 which is a collection agency. They are trying to get ahold of a Judy Gerber, which I knew some time ago. Now she has given out my number instead of hers and they are trying to collect from her. I wish they would stop calling. I have told them several times I do not know where she is or how to get ahold of her.
Have received 4 calls from them so far (I have not anwsered) and I certainly am not in arrears with any bills.
This is CBE, a collection agency claiming they are collecting for MCI balance due. They inflate the MCI amount and call it a "tariff". In this case the "tariff" is $64. Probably an inflated amount they paid MCI or what MCI will gets in return on a balance due of $178. When asked if they would send me a letter stating the account would be reported to the credit agencies when they receive my check, they said they would. When I spoke to MCI agent I requested an itemized bill for their charges to me. I did not make the calls but they came from my cordless phone by a grandson.Finally I received an itemized bill from MCI and the same day got a call from CBE claiming I owe $54 more than what MCI showed on the bill. Since I intend to pay for what I am responsible for, I will send CBE a check with words written on back "PAYMENT IN FULL" account # ********. Cashing this check completes our agreement" .Further investigation of this CBE group (use google search) and you will find they claim representation to other telephone companies. Hope this ends up in court as I will have cancelled check in hand and then see if they followed through with credit agencies. I also from the s****, informed CBE caller "do not call my number a***n" as per the law. But I pay my bills so lets see where it goes.
This # keeps calling my phone. Please stop the call. I do NOT have service using this company, nor do I need Verizon calling me. They do not leave a message to know the nature of the call.

When i answer, no one is there - I called back and they refused to tell me who they were representing. So, I called them back 25 times, when they answered, just held the phone...not saying a word...and will continue to do this daily - multiple times until they stop calling me.
