Unkown solicitation from computer source to do not call list cell.

I keep getting calls from this # 319-833-1330 on my cell phone and when I pick up there is no one there and they never leave a message

I get calls from this number several times a day and I am on a do not call list! 319-833-1300

Recorded message asks for someone. If you're that person you press #1...if not you press #2. I'm not the person they want (never heard of them either) so I press #2...several times for it to work and then I'm put on automated hold. I **** up at that point due to minute usage but I want them to NEVER CALL A***N !!!!!!

Angela called me today (Sat 7-17-10, 930)from 319-833-1300 and was also very evasive. Told me her name and would not tell me any more when asked what CBE group is. I am on the do not call list and am sure this was not for me even though the name was correct. She did not want to discuss anything more and thankfully ***g up.

This number called me today, 2 hours after missing my 9:30 am wake-up call from cbe. I have never talked to CBE as me, but I have told them that this is the wrong number & they have kept calling daily for over 3 months! Yes****ay, I got calls from both this, & the regular CBE number that shows CBE as well as the number. They both come from Waterloo, Iowa, so I'm sure they are both CBE. It seems that their only intention in this world is to annoy people since they do not collect a dime. Perhaps they should list themselves as a non-proffit organization....LOL  :-)

I just received a call from this number for an ex contracted employee. I asked the name of the company 3 times and the girl Cathy would not give me that information. She said she would call back for the person and I said no you won't you will tell me the name of your company. Then she preceeded to say that it was a personal business matter. I told her she has the wrong number and she said she would note the information on the file. We will see if that happens. What gets me is w***ver this is, possibly a collection agency, not the IRS because they do not use collection agencies, you would think they would look up the phone numbers they call first to see if its someone elses number other than who they are trying to find. They are not too intelligent.

The one above is correct - it is CBE, a collection agency which is annoying but not a 'scammer'.   I called the # back today & asked why they were calling  - they said they were trying to get in touch with ....man's name....I said they had the wrong #.  He said they'd remove it from their list.   and NO, they didn't ask & I didn't give  any info other than the phone # to remove.    I'll let ya know if it works.  I know some have said it didn't work but unless they are *****s,  I can't imagine why any business  would want to waste time calling a # that they are going to >  A. get no money or results from  and/or  B. not sell anything to -   which is the only reasons why any business would want to call u.    So unless u r  really the person they r looking 4 & if u truly DON"T owe anyone $,  tell them it's a wrong #, that should take care of it.    Otherwise I thk they'll keep calling hoping to get their "man".    Bill collectors can be notoriously stubborn...which, if someone really owes money is understandable.

As for the person who mentioned Quest ......if you look at the reverse # look up...it shows the number is a landline and the carrier is Qwest (like ATT or Sprint, etc.).  That just shows who the get their phone service from.  just fyi -  The number is in Waterlou, IA      I may just grab my whistle and break their eardrum next time they call me...

Received 2 calls from this # - one on Sat. and one just now, both abround 8am.   I don't answer -  I have no debt of any kind either.    I am also on the DNC list, but not sure if it is time to renew that thing since you have to do it every so many yrs if I recall correctly.

I would suspect this is a scammer number that has somehow managed to get a call list. If you  are on the DNC list and get these calls for services, there is a problem.  Further, the IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU, they send letters.  Upon reading all the other posts and the numerous companies this number is supposedly****ociated with, I would suspect if this person/persons could be caught you would find some serious theft/fraud/ and other charges that could be brought a***nst them.  I do not ever recommend answering this number and if you do....glean all the info you can and turn it in to the authorities.  319 area code is from Eastern Iowa....CBE does exist here in Iowa but no representing any of the companies that you all have listed above.  Keep reporting until these ****s are nailed.

Isn't Quest cable, phone and internet? I was not aware they offer medical care as well.

This is a medical debt collector...for Quest Corporation, not the IRS...pay your medical bills and they will not be calling you.

these people are reprehensible... they are just fishing for ssn... i have had debt with the irs in the past... the irs mails bills directly to me... i got a call today from the above number and they muttered so****ing ***ue about the irs... i just received a direct deposit FROM the irs and the amt. that i owed was already neatly and tidily deducted. I strongly suggest considering that the comments by "KC" are from cbe.... hmmm?

Just so all of you know, CBE is contracted by the IRS to collect back tax debt in regards to your Federal Income Taxes. I received a couple letters from the IRS in regards to this. If you've filed for taxes and owe, or haven't but the IRS figures you owe you could get a call from them. However the repe***ion of their calls and never leaving a voice mail is very annoying! Why don't they do like certain other collection agencies and leave a voice mail code for you to retrieve the message. Where they give you your account # etc and a web address. You could then go online and make payment arrangements or pay the debt off in total. Aren't we in the 21st century? With the state the country is in with unemployment etc. you think they'd do this a little differently. They act like everyone answers their phones rather personal or cellular with caller ID for numbers they aren't familiar with.

these people call 5 times a day and never leave a message. when i call back, they put me on hold. I own my own business, so today when they called, i put them on hold for 35 minutes, then told them that i was unavailable and to leave a message, they ***g up and called back an hour later.

these ********S call me at least 5 times a day... I never answer, and they never leave a message. they even call on sundays !!! I've called them back and have been put on hold, so today, I finally answered and put them on hold for 35 minutes then came back and told them that I was busy and if they could leave a message, they promptly ***g up . I own my own business and don't have time for tese games. I suggest we give them a taste of thier own medicine ! like I said they're ********S !!!!

This number calls my cell phone before or after they call my house phone. Never leaves a message. But its from CBE Group. Which Im very sure that it is working for the IRS and want to talk about making a payment plan or so****ing. I never answer, because I never gave them my number. Dont know you or the number..Im not talking to you.

I'm also on the "do not call" registry and have received countless calls from this number - often as many as 5 times a day, between 8AM and 9PM. Since I don't pick up, I have no idea who's calling, but, as I have no debt, I doubt it's a debt collector.

Numerous calls a day at irregular hours and yes I'm on the do not call list.

They are calling to confirm your telephone number or just identify who is using it. Call them if you want, but don't confirm anything over the phone.  Ask to be sent a letter, and remember they should already have your address unless you ahve moved recently.

I get a call form the same number,but I dont' answer it. I don't know who it is calling, but i am going to call the number back to see who it is, and I will post here. calling now!  Well it must be  debt collector because no one anounces a company name.

This number keeps calling me every day but I've nevered answered. I don't have any debt. Sounds like a scam or telemarketer but I'm on the Do Not Call registry. Any other ideas on why I am getting called?
