It is a bill collector. I do owe on a bill and they had all the info. I believe it is legit. Kinda rude but legit.

This number is a bill collector. They ask for your account number first ( ya, let me get that for ya, like I don't have anything else on my desk but their ****) or your SS# (PLEASE!). They have caller ID so they try to connect your number with an account after they try and verify you are who they think you are. These f***ing *****s cannot even verify the originator of the debt (if there even is one). Bottom line ***ody is going to pay anybody anything if they can't prove the debt so if these idiots are calling you make them send you a letter to a po box, not your home address, then dispute the debt by sending them a letter asking for do***entation that proves a debt is owed. If they don't respond with proof within 30 days you may have the right to dispute the reporting of any account related to this collector (whether you really owe so****ing or not). To my understanding, if they cannot prove or fail to prove the debt a***nst you, they cannot collect.

I am getting calls from this company whose name comes up as "CompuCredit" - twice / day. This s****ed out of the blue approx. 2 weeks ago - 1st week in Aug. 2010. To my knowledge, this is not a collection agency, there is no reason one should be calling my house. I am disabled with MS & it takes great effort to answer the phone. So, to have my day interrupted twice per day (or more), is very upsetting.

I get the same calls...saying that I need to call them regarding an urgent matter. I don't know anyone in that state...I did goggle it thou and it IS a collection agency. If I do not recognize a number I DO NOT ANSWER.9 times out of 10, it is a scam to get money out of you. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. These are professional scam artists looking for "clueless people " that will give into their idol threats.IF YOU DO HAPPEN to answer and get a person, tell them to CEASE FROM CALLING YOU AND THAT YOU HAVE THEM ON CALLER ID AND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO REPORT THEM TO THE FCC IN THEIR STATE AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AS WELL. 99% of the time the calls will stop.

It came up on caller ID as compucredit   recording said someone would be with me shortly  waited and they ***g-up

I keep getting calls on my company cell phone ,,,no message is left,,,,I finally looked up this number,,,,I do not know anyone in MN,,,if this is the same company mentioned above can someone PLEASE get this people, (scammers), to stop calling my cell phone. I know all the company numbers that call me and this is NOT one of them. I am not going to return a call just to tell tehm to STOP and CEASE making calls to my cell number. Someone in authority needs to contact these people and put their foot down on them so the calls can stop from being made.

I received phone calls from this number 3-4 times a day.

Repeat call throughout the day for days on end. Same as reported above. Clearly up to no good. This must stop.

Keep getting 10 - 15 calls a day.  A recording comes on and often it hands up.Finally, someone came on asking to speak to me.  I refused to confirm it was I on the phone until they identified themselves.  The lady refused and ***g up.

Caller Id shows compucredit...calls my work phone....never leaves a message.

A recording tells the person answering the phone "Please hold and a representative will be with you shortly."  After holding for a few minutes the call disconnects.Caller ID just said "St Cloud MN" but I clicked the more info ****on on the phone and got a number. Called it, got a recording asking for my account number or SS#. Yeah right. Pushed "0" for the operator and was parked on hold for a few minutes and listened to numerous recordings for "Jefferson Capital Systems LLC."I finally got a representative who said she would delete our number if I could tell her which line was called. I explained that we have 5 phone lines and have no way of knowing which one they called. I made it clear that they caused the problem, they needed to solve it. Polite, professional, firm.

Called and didn't leave a message.
