Did any 1 evr cash the check?

I responded to someone looking for a nanny for his 3 year old son on craigslist. His name he's using is Wes Schneider and said that he is in Scottland conducting business and his neighbor would drop off the boy. He is to send me a check and cash it and give the remainder of the money to his neighbor??!! Scam if I ever heard one. this is the number I am suppose to call if I need more info. after provoding all my personal information 011447035902058.

This email is an EXACT copy of an email I got when I responded to a Craigslist add for a nanny down here in FL except that the name said from West Schneider.  It is the exact phone numbers & everything.  I haven't given any personal info because so****ing just didn't set right when I got this back, so I googled the personal contact phone number & came across this site.  I have Vonage & make international calls, so I know that the 01144.....phone number is an UK mobile phone #.  I hope this reaches as many people as possible because I don't know what the ramifications of this person getting your personal info.

wow I feel ******. I gave this person my address and phone number. Do I need to be worried? I never recieved a check and told them the deal was off.  I wish I would have looked this up first.  And it was my first craigs list listing so I really didn't know what I was doing.

I posted an ad on Craiglist got the same info. as above. He used Mary Smith. Sounded to good to be true. I bing.com the number and it landed me here. I got the same email... mary simth.. what an a**hole. how will the FBI track this guy down.. probably some ***** head just tryin to get into peoples bank accounts. except for i actually recieved a check. I guess I need to rip it up huh??

Same guy contacted me...the e-mail he sent me is exactly the same as the first one. His name is Swaraj Gabii Karunakara and e-mail I REALLY appreciate this website! Just with a click I was able to get rid of a scam artist.By the way, I reported him to Craigslist [email protected], Internet Crime Complaint Center/ FBI (http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx) and Econsumer.gov http://www.econsumer.gov/english/report/overview.shtm.We have to stop this crook!

Same guy is using this number as well... 562-368-4861. Look up the comments under that number.

My wife received basically the same email which also listed that number as an email relay. The first email came from: Swaraj Karunakara ; the second from Swaraj Gabii Karunakara She had posted an item on Craig's List-Nashville.Here's the reply I wrote for her:"Thank you, Swaraj, for your prompt response (using a different email address).Please make check out to:    FBI Internet Fraud DivisionAn agent will be in contact with you within the hour to complete this transaction.Happy Holidays!"
