"Sean McClain" called me.  I couldnt even understand what the***** he was saying but he did say the last 4 of my husband's SSN correctly.

the person calling me having thick heavy accent telling me that they are calling from (state investigation   department of banking and financial law). they are telling me that i have taken the loan from u.s.payday cash whcih i have never taken , i ask them that i want to talk with my creditor then they  gave me this number ,when i search on this number there is no any u.s.payday  registered on this number.how should we stop this type of call.

All of these calls listed here are within a couple of weeks.All from people with a "thick accent" and generic names..... Disturbing they aren using the same story and scare tactics on everyone. This HAS to be illegal...how do we stop it and protect ourselves?

First my fiancee' recieved a call from this number , a man who claimed to be "James Carter". Calling in reference to ME saying there was a claim a***nst me from a year ago from US Payday Loans (I have never done a payday loan) and that he worked for a company called "Legal Services Corporation" representing the loan company. I was given the message and contact number. I called, spoke with "James Carter..(did NOT sound like a james..had a time delay and an echo on the phone..)  and was told there were multiple charges a***nst me due to this payday loan (that I never got)and that he would be in California court in five days to represent the loan company a***nst me. I was asking many questions, but got no answers..I was concerned when he said if I wanteed to "fix" this issue I could pay him a large sum of money,  supposedly equal to the "loan" that i did not pay back and also fees.  Also, when I asked for the number of the loan company, and I called there..I got THE SAME PERSON claiming to be someone else. I contacted my bank, of course they gave me the proof that this never occured, and are protecting my accounts....how can people do this?  Have we lost ALL security online? How don we stop these calls?  I was told several times if I did not pay, I could go to jail. WHAT?!?!?!?!

This heavy accent - non English speaking person been calling me since early summer - endless calls to both my cell phone and work number telling me he has charges a***nst my SSN and what not.  I spoke to him once - I asked him to mail me proof since he claims to have my home address (he never did).  I filed a complaint with Atty Generals Office, but got nowhere.  What's a person to do?  Don't I have a right here? This has got to stop - these people are a bunch of scammers and it's not fair to be harrassed like this.

I recieved a voicemail from this number from a guy named Ronnie Cooper ( He did not sound like a Ronnie Cooper) stating that I  had Criminal Charges on my SSN and that I was being sued for a payday loan that I received from a USA Payday which I haven't even taken out a payday loan...But my Husband and I recorded the entire conversation and they could not  give me any of the infortmation that I requested from them. I read the other statements that people have posted about a Ronnie Cooper so just be aware that there is a new number that he is trying to contact and scam people from.
