Leave a CommentHeavy accent. Gave name as Steve Madden. Threatened "judge magistrate or grand jury" action and that ignoring this call would count as 2nd time ignoring. US Treasury mentioned.
Total scammer and that is probably putting it mildly. Left a threatening voice mail message that was almost incomprehensible due to the heavy Indian accent. Basically seemed to be implying that I would be facing some tax liability issues if I didn't respond. Completely bogus. Had enough information to partially get my name correct but also enough wrong to clearly signal this as a scam. Very annoying.
Just received a call from a message which activated once I answered ... stating that I needed to call 323-723-3*** and make arrangements to take care of this tax matter or I would face magistrate and charges. I just researched the number and read that the IRS doesn't notify ANY proceedings by phone. This is obviously a scam. I feel sorry for the folks who are intimidated and take this seriously.
Threatening message regarding court action to be taken a***nst me and orders to return the call. Call made by male with heavy accent, probably Indian.
same story with me. I'm trying to contact the CA BAR****oc. on him. Others should too, as simply tagging him as a spammer is too weak.
Ditto
Fake US Treasury Scam - said they would put my husband in federal jail for six months. I told him to f*** off. He kept calling repeatedly over and over. I answered and told him I paid a voodoo priestess to put a curse on him and his family. This time he told me f*** you. Caller has a very heavy Indian accent and used the name Peter James.
