Scam I was trying to purchase a vehicle on ebay

The number was given as a contact number for EBAY buyer protection services. I was trying to purchase a vehicle outside of Ebay. Never heard of such. I received an invoice from Ebay requesting payment on a gift card versus my credit card. This has never occurred before. Clearly a scam!!!
