I got a call too. I called everyone the asked about and they were like give us their info so we can contact them. Justice will be served.
I just did, the same as the info about Elizabeth Baker-left on my work cell phone. Is this a scam-it kinda scared me but I have no idea why there would be a case a***nst it.
My husband received a call from this number from someone looking for his son. They threatened him with arrest. My step-son has never been in Ohio.
I received a call from Elizabeth Baker stating that I had a case pending a***nst me and that if I didn't return a call Pre Trial Services would submit my case. I then called back and spoke with "Elizabeth" and she told me I had committed fraud by taking a loan and not paying it back. I asked for more specific information but she could not provide me with it. She ***g up on me. I called back and was supposedly given my case arbiter Ellen Kramer. Well, it turned out to be the same person! She was even more rude and told me she wasn't going to give me any more in formation because I was rude. Be aware of these scammers. Just be equally rude back to them.

I too received a call but I picked it up. The recorded message said the same things about a pretrial motion and having my attorney contact them. I did press “1” to speak to someone because I wanted to confirm that it was a scam. From there I got another recording asking me to call the 330 number that was calling me. I called back and spoke to a woman. I was told the State of Illinois was suing me and when I said I hadn’t received anything about that, she told me she was surprised and would get my file to read me the charges. She came back and said Advance America, a payday loan store, was pressing the charges then went on to read a list of things I had done, including check fraud. I asked to have a copy of the charges sent to me and she told me they’re a paperless company but that she could e-mail them. I agreed to that, then told her I wouldn’t discuss anything further with her until my attorney had a chance to look over the paperwork. She then read me my e-mail address (so they have that information too, but then a***n, my e-mail and cell phone number are both really old, who knows exactly who has them.) I have not received any e-mails, in my inbox or junk folder. So I called Advance America (I’m an ornery cuss when I think people are messing with me) and the company told me they do not employ a telephone service in Ohio to make phone calls about pending lawsuits. That would be handled through the mail. They also confirmed that I wasn’t the first person to inquire about it and that someone is used the Advance America name to try and scam people.
Left message saying she was Elizabeth Baker from Pretrial Services case submitted a***nst me or my retained attorney and that I needed to contact them back or it would be do***ented I have waived my right to council and submit my case. What a crock of bull. SCAM
