Leave a CommentGot call from "John" at Kids First, offering 2 free movies. Call came in on my work line, so I did not feel comfortable giving any personal information. He was very bright and courteous, and said he would remove my number from their list. Glad to see that it was probably legitimate.
Called my cell phone this morning. When asked how they got my number they said the were callin all numbers in this area. After doing some research, it appears they are a non-profit organization trying to clean up entertainment or so****ing. I agreed to the films, so we'll see!
The gentleman was very kind and coureous. Said he was with Kids First. Accepted free films and will post my follow up once I recieve and view them.
I received a call from these folks the other day about reviewing two free movies. I was skeptical so asked them to call back; After I looked themup and saw what they were doing I was impressed. I think this a fantastic idea and so****ing this culture could use. I come from a family that raised me with strong Christian m****s and have 5 younger siblings and my friends kids at my house all the time. I have a nice movie theater setup in my home but am often disappointed by the lack of kid friendly movies of any caliber. I called them back and asked to be sent the two free movies.
I picked up and listened to the whole thing. I didn't agree to recieve the films, but out of courtesy I took the time to get all the information before judging!! You guys are sitting here ripping on a company you know nothing about, and you didn't even listen to the call. It is a real company trying to make a positive difference in the world. Honestly, if you dont want to take the call just tell them you aren't interested and **** up. I dont think it's necessary to use such fowl language and get all worked up over it. Maybe you could use some positive movies in your homes....
Yes****ay, at 9:30 am, my husband had a missed call on his CELL phone, and at 9:45 am I also had a missed call on my CELL phone from this number. Neither time did they leave a message. I am bothered at how somebody got both our cell humbers. Normally, a call of this type, from what I am reading on the reports, comes through our home/landline phone number.
I just got a call from this number. The organization is KidsFirst. They are looking for people to watch and review two movies. You get to keep the movies. It looks like they just call random numbers to get more variety on the feedback. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely polite.
It's a non-profit, I like what they are doing.
Because they are a non-profit, it is totally legal for them to call even if your on the "Do Not Call List"....it appears they are a valid company, just trying to do so****ing positive for a c****e. My advice would be that if you aren't interested, just tell them that! I personally have like what they're doing, especially since it's free! Who doesn't love free...seriously????
I got the call. Seemed interesting. They didn't ask for any info that wasn't in the phone book. They offered me 2 free DVD's. I accepted and got them a few days later. Once a***n, they didn't get any info from me other than that in the phone book.
Kids 1st Goals:A. To teach children to become critical media users;B. To help adults recognize the importance of tea****g critical viewing s****s to children;C. To help children identify and be aware of outstanding media programming; D. To develop programs for children with special needs such as low-income, hospitalized or at-risk children.
Called and said it was Kids 1st and wanted to send 2 free movies. What they’re doing sounded interesting but wanted to know how they got my number and they said they’re just calling randomly. Told them to hold so I could look them up and they are legit. I got 2 movies for free and just had to give my input on them.
Got a call from this number this morning, it appeared in my missed call list on my cell phone. I called the number back the first time it was busy, the second time I got a response. He said he wasn't trying to sell me anything, that it is a non-profit organization wanting to send 2 free family DVD's to me and have me rate them. Looked them up and they’re for real.
I actually talked to them. It's Kids First (http://www.kidsfirst.org/) The site explains a little more what they do...so****ing to do with ratings of kids and family friendly movies. They were just recruiting movie viewers - they will send over 2 movies, and along with that, there are a couple questions to answer.
John from Kids First just called and said they were trying to design a better system for rating DVD's and wants to send me two free DVD's. He was very nice and said the only catch was that they wanted to call me back in two weeks after I get the movies for my grandkids to get some feed back.
Normally I’m a skeptical person that thinks if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But I did receive 2 free movies, called Borrowed Hearts and also The Bellflower Bunnies. I just had to give my opinions on them. Both were really good. And if this in any way helps promote more producers to make better movies – I’m all for it.
Recently I agreed to be sent two movies to review. Unfortunately my phone was broken and I was unable to receive the follow up calls. I would just like to let you all know that my daughter loved them. And they have some great values in them. Chloe, my daughter, wants to watch them all the time now. So I just thought I would tell you all these are great films. And yes my phone works now, so I can’t wait for them to call a***n so I can buy more movies!!
We agreed to have “kids first” send us two free movies to review on DVD. I just wanted to let you know, it was great. My kids and I enjoyed it. It was called "No Baths"
I am so glad they sent the movies for me to review. My favorite was "Walking across Egypt" I have to say I was a little skeptical at first, but now I am glad I took the two free films to review…I hope they keep up the good work!
I was sent two films to preview - Rigoletto and The Secret Garden. I have been in and out quite a lot, and have not had the opportunity to speak to a representative regarding my screening. I would allow my kids to watch both of these movies. The films both have great value lessons, and could be used as a tea****g tool. I think the content is probably most important to me. –Michelle
