What and WHO is this calling. I also got a call threatening legal action from the Dept of Legal Affairs. Does anyone know what and/or who this is?

phone call received today from this number. Said his name was Russell Reid with Dept of Legal Affairs, U.S. Treasury. He said there is a case a***nst me by the IRS for unpaid taxes. Wrong. I asked for his employee number and if there was a supervisor there that I could speak to. He gave his employee ID (#11738) (probably bogus) and then said he has no supervisor. Finally, he said "Look, as soon as you **** up this phone call with me the U.S. Marshalls in your local jurisdiction, who are out doing their field work, are going to show up at your door and arrest you". Click, he ***g up. I have NOTHING to conclude on this other than it being a TOTAL SCAM ... designed to scare the***** out of people and, probably, eventually get them to pay some $$$

They called saying they were from the Department of Legal Affairs. I or my lawyer should call back to prevent legal action bein taken a***nst me.

Just got a VM from Jack Taylor at this number telling my husband he should have his lawyer call back so the legal acton taken a***nst can be stopped. I call this number and it goes to dial tone. Jack's extension is x2487
