I just got a call from those guys today. They told me it is a law enforcement office and I have to pay back a loan that I have taken otherwise they will prosecute me. They have all my information, social security number, e-mail and street adress. I will take all legal actions a***nst those people and I encourage you to do so. This needs to be stopped!!!!!!

Just got a call from these folks on my cell phone. What is funny is that I accidentally pushed the answer ****on, then ***g up, then blocked them.  You are on the right track in terms of who these people are; I believe there is a nationwide epidemic of scams that grow out of people applying for short term or payday loans.  I looked into them about 4 months ago to help pay some professional dues.  I didn't end up needing the loan, but your description of the call is similar to others I have received since applying for those loans. I think the basis of the scam is that if you are looking for a payday loan, you probably have other debts in collection. Then these folks (who do not understand our justice system where there is no debtors prison) call with these fake arrest threats.  Pretty de****able if you ask me.
