The guy or two guys called in behalf to be workers from Verizon company and they are telling me to open the back door to connect a wireless in behalf from the next house , they said they got my number from outside in the window

They have been messaging me for months constantly trying to get me to go and see this stranger in the city. In the beginning it s****ed off as a cleaning job that they are trying to offer me and then I turned into they wanted *** for money now they want to be friends and now they won’t leave me alone I’ve tried constantly telling them to leave me alone but he won’t stop should i call police?
