Called my mobile number earlier.... same credits for GRU (though I have FPL). I guess this scam company is very busy.
said she was calling about the information notice in regards to our duke energy tax credit.
Call from 424-217-5996, El Segundo, California. Left Florida call back number 352-251-0184 and "reference" number for local utility tax credit for GRU. This was the same call I had 3 months ago from the same person and same subject but for Clay Electric. I verified with my electric company that they did not have any employees by that name.
Same as others above. Call from 424-217-5996, El Segundo, California. Left Ocala, Florida call back number 352-251-0184 and "reference" number for local utility tax credit.
Left code message.
Received the same call on my answering ma****e and almost called back until I noticed that the call originated in Sierra Madre, California but the return call number was supposedly in the Ocala, Florida area. Don't you wonder how desperate these women must be and how few jobs are available that they must attempt to scam people all day long just to feed their family.
Same as above same phone numbers, same reference numbers. Get a Real job Mary Ann Patterson!
Spammer! Do not call.
Called from 626-790-0004 (california) but asked to be called back at 352-251-0184 (Florida) because I have a tax credit incentive towards my Duke Energy bill (I haven't had Duke energy in over 4 years). Told me to reference a number that she provided.
Caller left message about a Duke-Energy credit issues. Total scammer, DE will never call about credits or anything like that - I know I work for the company. Also like another caller. I can't figure out how they got my home number when I am listed on the Florida Do Not Call Registry, as well as the National Do Not Call Registry - What good is it.
Message was garbled but we could make out that she was calling about "credits and we needed to call her back. This matches up with the above comments. Scammed - beware!
Called from 626-790-0004 (california) but asked to be called back at 352-251-0184 (Florida) because I have a tax credit incentive towards my Duke Energy bill (I haven't had Duke energy in over 4 years). Told me to reference a number that she provided.
Called and left message about GRU tax credit and asked me to call her back at this number. My caller ID said she called from 626 790 0004
Left message on answering ma****e that it was a call regarding GRU tax credits, and to return call to 352-251-0184 with reference number 01014. I called GRU instead, and the lady at GRU stated it was a marketing call. I guess it is a marketing spam. This is interesting because I am listed on the Florida Do Not Call Registry, as well as the National Do Not Call Registry for what good it does.
I work at GRU (Public Utility). This number called our customer offering tax credit incentive from GRU. No such program exists. Be careful and inform your loved ones that utility companies generally DO NOT make phone solicitations. These are especially geared toward the elderly.
Stated call was to discuss tax credit, local utility owner named plus "Reference Number" given - sounded as if it had come from the utility. Originated in Sierra Madre, California.
bogus tax credit for public utility
tax benefit for public utility
