The caller was a male and knew my name. He said he was trying to reach the parent or guardian of myself. I said “this is her?” And he ***g up. I tried calling back and it said the number was disconnected.

He wanted a catering job for his wife. Spammer!!!

Same as all of the comments above, only this time he contacted my company from a 434-area code number, and we were to add an additional $2500 to pay his wedding coordinator, “Richard.” He willingly provided “Richard’s” phone number (which was the number above), and when we called the voicemail said that Jack Mayes was unavailable. Needless to say he has been blocked.

Man named Jack Mayes reached out via email first for a catering. The same scenario as above bit with a 3000 budget. So****ing didn't feel right after sneaking with him on the phone. so I researched the number and found these comments. Crying shame for hard working people to be harassed, mislead and have their time and effort to be wasted on low lifes.

Requested full-service dinner catering for wedding anniversary, with a multi thousand dollar budget. He avoided giving detailed information.

Long story short.. wanted me to take his credit card and also charge for a bartender he hired and then give the money to him unrelated to my restaurant.. i threw the flag up and my contact with him is done after resear****g other scams almost identical
