I did exactly what you did and itworked. Thanks for the tip...
Got same number calling my daughter's phone-she does not have a credit card, etc-called 'did the do not call' by pressing one. We'll se what happens.
I just got one of these calls an hour or so ago. Didn't recognize the number, so didn't answer. No voice mail left. After seeing this forum, I called the number. I actually got a message that told me to press "1" if I wanted to be taken off the call list and not receive any future promotional calls.
Same situation with the phone call, They " do you have visa/mc?me "how are you affiliated?"them ---------***g upcan you spell FRAUD
I've got the same story as everyone else, I receive at least 2 phone calls a day from either 360-722-5914 or 307-466-0224 for the last week. I've gotten 2 people to answer when I press 1, and the conversation goes: Them - cardmember services, would you like to lower your credit card rate? Me - I would like to be taken off this... CLICK.I think if they don't hear you say the entire sentence maybe they aren't obligated to actually take you off their list. Next time, I'm gonna play along. I'll show a small amount of interest and then blast them!
who or what is this? is there a reason to be concerned?
"Lower your interest rate on your credit card. Time is running out." I don't own a credit card. Obvious scam.
I save these numbers in my address book as SCAM. That way when they call back, I see SCAM come up as the caller and I know not to answer.
