They asked for my personal information including my credit card #. When I said I don't give out my credit card # over the phone, they ***g up. The person that called me indentified himself as Timothy Jones ID# TG5150.

it's pretty funny reading all of the complaints below, especially the word for word script. My complaint comes from the idiot that ended up calling me to discuss further, Mr. Anderson! If you run across this guy (phone number: 949-777-5447), do yourself a favor and **** up. He's condescending and rude. go further at your own risk.
I'm afraid that I'm one of the idiots that fell for this, because no matter what I asked they had an answer for it. I first answered because my caller ID said it was a local # from my home town...when I asked her how that worked, she said they used Skype to transfer calls. They have charged my credit card, and I sent the paperwork in .... of course I have never heard from them a***n. What can I do to get that charge taken off my credit card, if anything?
Just received a call from (760) 822-4639 on my personal cell phone, which is also registered on the national Do Not Call Registry. The intro recording claimed that I was to be offered a reduced rate on my credit card, which would expire if I didn't take advantage. When I reached the telemarketer, Chris, I asked which of my credit card accounts this was about. He identified himself as Proactive Planning Solutions and said that they represent all of my credit accounts. I asked whether he was familiar with the Do Not Call List and he became argumentative, saying that I had pressed a key on my phone to allow the call to go through. I explained that the Do Not Call list should have kept me from getting a call in the first place and I requested to be placed on their Do Not Call list. Chris claimed that, since I had allowed the call, he could not help me with this and that I would have to listen to and follow the entire instructions from the intro recording if I wanted to be placed on their internal Do Not Call list. How do these guys get away with ***zenly ignoring the Do Not Call registry?? Just filed a complaint with them at donotcall.gov
I worked there for almost 2 years in the past. And for one everybody on here complaining about "SCAM". It is impossible to become a victim of a "SCAM" with a credit card they have purchase protection its an insurance policy a***nst THEFT & FRAUD, this is why they don't deal with money orders checks or debit cards And your flat out told your being charged what kind of a "scam" is that . You people hear the word FEE and think its a scam wake up we are in an economic cr**** this program exists just like Debt negotiation or credit card counciling ect that by the way all have fees, there service just doesn't effect your credit and is only for people who are up to date on there payments and for the people who got calls but don't have CC's probably hold a debit account and were mixed in with the CC holders and you can't call the number back cause its dialing from a computer dialer your trying to call a computer back that's why its disconnected. I have asked this company a number of times to stop calling me. When I asked them where they got my number the guy said from visa/mastercard? Thats isn't possible because I just switched my number and Visa doesn't have that number as a contact? I really think these people are full of it. I got a call telling me I had been pre qualified to have my interest rates reduced and now I can apply for lower rates? What does that even mean?
I got two calls in two days, one from a 602 area code and one from a 517 area code. I was su****ious right off the bat because they called my work cell phone, which I do not give out for any of my personal business, especially banking. They said they had my details from my Visa or Mastercard card, they wanted to "lower my interest" and I needed to give them just a few details, for them to check if I qualified. I did not give them any details whatsoever because it didn't seem right. I told them I needed to check them out before talking to them. This is Poactive Planning Solutions. Some say it is a scam looking for $695 from you to negotiate lower rates......several recent ones say they are great, but it feels like those may have been put there by Proactive themselves. One claims to have used Proactive Planning s****ing a year ago, but Proactive claims to be a new federal initiative......less than a year old.....does not jive. They have called from 4 different area codes now.
PPS called and wanted to help me with my credit card debt. Wanted money up front and asked for all my info. I fell for this but c****ed my mind and stopped payment. Don't fall for this scam.
Has anyone else recieved anymore calls from Proactive Planning Solutions. I keep getting calls from them, but when I return their calls they want answer. Their fax number is also a joke. I recieved a voice message from them last night that stated that it was imparative that I speak to them.

First time they called me from a cell phone which I thought was odd. Then they called me a***n the next day from a 740 area code...even after I told them the day before I was not interested.

There have been over 10 calls from this number or ones like it over the past 2 weeks. Every single person I talk to, I demand that they take me out of their system and they all say that they will, but no one has. The last guy that called me just ***g up when I asked to speak to a manager. When I try to call it back, it says it's disconnected. When I told him that I called the 1-800 number affiliated with them (that I found on their website) he informed me that there was no 1-800 number. I think these people are trying to scam you by getting your credit card number! The first time I actually listened to what they had to say, they said they could lower my credit card interest rates. Ok, fine, great. What do I have to do? They said they couldnt' go any further until I gave them my credit card number and expiration date. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!
Called my cell phone two times-2 hours apart. I didn't answer, since I didn't recognize the number. I tried calling the number and it gives me a recording that the number is either disconnected or longer in service.
calls about every 2 hours and says nothing. when i call the number back i get a recording that says the number is no longer in servce.
