My CEO was directly in front of me talking to me about a project & they claimed to be my CEO texting me saying he was in a meeting & needed a favor to buy gift cards for the staff as a gift. I led them on to try & get as much info as I could so I could report.... Scamming is nasty work.

Pretended to be urgent message from CEO of company and asked to confirm receipt of message. Reported as Spam and deleted it.

They said they were the CEO of my company They asked for me to confirm that I received the text and stated it was from the owner of the company where I work.

Received a text message pretending to be the CEO of an organization in California.

They asked for me to confirm that I received the text and stated it was from the owner of the company where I work. They then said they were in a meeting with stakeholders and needed my help.

"I'm in a conference meeting right now with some stakeholders and i cant talk on phone, I need you for an urgent task, are you available?" followed by "I want to do a surprise for some saffs with gift cards and please your confidentiality would be appreciated in not to ruin the surprise."

I just got a message from someone claiming to be David Smith telling me to respond to the text when I got it. I don't know anyone by this name.
