Leave a CommentI attended the Rawhide rodeo in Beamsville, ON, Ca***a last weekend and filled out a ballot because it was shoved in my face by this lady who I thought was with the rodeo company. I received a call tonight from this number and knew right away that if it wasn't actually a rodeo rep calling, that it was most likely a scam. Luckily I was able to **** him off because my husband wasn't home. I've done my research on this company, and everything written above is 100% true. BEWARE OF SCAMS LIKE THIS ONE!
the number that called me was 386-265-5***. he said oasis travel, when I search for the address he gave me, its amazon travel. If it's real, it's a time share deal, which may not be a bad thing. but there are a few things that make me think it's a scam. They tried to call me for days until I answered the phone then when i told the guy that I didn't have my credit card at work with me he said they'd have to pull another name immediately and give it away. You think if it was real and they had days to keep trying my number that they would work with you. second, when I worked in construction I learned the only reason that businesses c****e their name is cuz they have a bad rep or they are doing so****ing wrong. It sounded to good to be true anyway, the show that I filled out the card at was a ghetto trade show with fake ipods and probably stolen stuff.
just got a call from this number, lady knew where i filled the form out, rock on the range, and said i won a trip to florida. couldnt write information down so i have to call her back. read your comments and there has to be other way of making sure someone is who they say they are. if you win a trip you win a trip, not really winning if they charge you money
This is a company called Amazon Travel Club. They tend to c****e their name from time-to-time so be aware if it isn't the same name of the company. I'm not sure if it is completely a scam but they aren't completely truthful either. They get your number from contests you sign-up for to win a free vacation at either expos, or festivals, or things like that. I live in St. Louis and they were at a **** festival I went to. They have called me and my boyfriend saying we won a trip to the ba***** we just have to get ourseleves to the port. I have googled the company and everything I have read says they basically try to get your credit card number over the phone to make sure you are who you say you are. They will then charge your credit card anywhere from $200-$500 saying you have to pay taxes on what you've won. I also read they are a timeshare company trying to get you to check out property to buy a timeshare. At anyrate, you didn't just win a trip. Whatever you do, don't give them your credit card number!!!
My boyfriend and I both keep getting calls! From all of these numbers. Same thing, no message left, and I call back its busy. Weird that both of us are getting them now. We signed up for a drawing a while back, but not together. What are the odds that they're calling both of us??
got a call from 386-265-5946, 386-265-5945, and 386-265-5939..NO message, but i did go to a bridal expo about amonth ago.
me either, after i said i am not interested and the guy was very rude, then ***g up the phone.
IT'S A SCAM!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO...
I went to an expo over the weekend as well (i am in ca***a) and they called yes****ay saying i had won a trip and wanting me to pay $299 per person for port fees right then and there on the phone on my credit card. When i said i wasnt able to do that they just ***g up. They called back a***n today and when i called them on being legit the guy got rude and said 'fine then' and ***g up. Not exactly how things should go if you have won so****ing, lots of red flags, so be careful if you get this call- 10 to 1 says its not legit.
This number said I won 4 trips and a cruise from entering in a ballot at a snow mobile racing event. I think they maybe ligat but some things are to good to be true
