Re: cease and desist letters do not apply to first party collections.only collection agencies. The bank will keep calling because they are within their legal right to. Also FDCPA laws do not apply as well to first party collectionsThis is not true in all states. Here in PA, state law in essence mirrors FDCPA laws concerning 1st party AND collectors. You should check your state laws in order to be sure.
I just got a call from this number, I answered the phone and they asked for me and told me I had an account with them. The lady kept asking for my ssn. I told her that she is crazy I would not give that to her. She said if I can not verify me then she would have to mess up my account or so****ing, but I dont have an account with them never have never will. I ***g up on her and she called back and told me not to **** up on her cause then she would have to make things worse for my situation. I told the lady if she called me a***n I would have to press charges since I am on the do not solicite cal list.
Very cryptic, I am very su****ious of this number, they did not know what they were calling about.
This number called me today and an automated message kept saying, "please hold for this important call." It repeated it several times and then ***g up. I guess it wasn't that important afterall.
Yeah this number showed up today...no message. Called the number back and it said it was "Consumer Counseling" and gave me options to pay, etc. Yeah right...like I am gonna make a payment to a company that doesn't tell me their name.
I keep getting calls from numbers like this one and would like to know what list they bought to get my number. This is a cell number and it is on the do not call list. Even when I ask for them to take me off there lsit they still call.
Disturbing calls
cease and desist letters do not apply to first party collections.only collection agencies. The bank will keep calling because they are within their legal right to. Also FDCPA laws do not apply as well to first party collections. Also an agency and the original creditor can call about the same bill at the same time. Banks don't walk away from money they are owed.
citizens bank important message well they should not be calling me at all the bill that they are calling about is in debt collection and they also have a cease and decease order in place so they should be call them not me
I received a call today from this number, said it was Citizens Bank. I called back on the 888 number; they said I had a checking account with Citizens Bank that was overdrawn; asked for my social security number. Asked if they were on *****, the woman said no, are you?
I got a call from this 401-468-5596 today with a message from Citizen's Bank asking me to return the call to 1-888-441-2894. I didn't get the whole number so I called Citizen's Bank directly. It is their collections department.
